From her sleek modernist looks to her Jamaican style tassle hotpants and gold chains we saw in her ‘Rude Boy’ video style chameleon Rihanna has us permanently guessing what she’ll do next. So no surprises to see her in her latest video ‘Rock Star 101” decked out in a chain bodice and leggings made especially by London-based Swedish designer Fannie Schiavoni. Fannie – whose signature style is creating super fierce jewellery pieces, wrist cuffs and armour style body pieces solely out of gun metal chains - is hot on our radar and counts Lady Gaga and Yasmin Le Bon as fans.

Grazia fashion magazine recently spoke with the designer about working with Rihanna.

“I discussed ideas with Rihanna and her stylist Mariel Haenn the day before the shoot and then I went to my hotel in LA and made everything that night. The next day was the video shoot and I literally chained Rihanna into everything piece by piece. Working with Rihanna and her creative team was amazing…it’s a dream come true to see my designs being worn by her in the new video. She rocks it well and looks incredible. I’ve also been working as the assistant to Rihanna’s creative director, Simon Henwood, for her Russian Roulette tour.”
