A new wax figure of Rihanna was unveiled in London’s Madame Tussauds today (October 3). The waxwork was based on the outfit the 23-year-old singer wore during a performance on The X Factor last year, where she sang alongside winner Matt Cardle.
The figure took four months to create and cost a staggering £150,000. Madame Tussauds spokesperson Liz Edwards, said of the new waxwork: “We are sure she will hit the right note with our guests as demand for her figure has been huge since her appearance on The X Factor 2010.”

Rihanna’s British Vogue cover debut has been one of the magazine’s most anticipated issues since the singer herself let the cat out of the bag in late July. In short blonde wig and Armani Prive couture, the Bajan singer reveals a new quiet sophistication – although her interview with Christa D’Souza is just as loud, and controversial, as you might hope.
Rihanna has courted controversy with a series of edgy videos – including being tied up and taped to the wall with clingfilm in the video to her hit ‘S&M’. But in a Vogue interview, the singer insists: ‘That’s not me. That’s a part I play. You know, like it’s a piece of art… I just want to make music.’ The singer, born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, said that life with her parents, Monica Braithwaite and Ronald Fenty, a former crack addict, triggered her rebellious attitude. ‘I saw too much. I was way too mature for my age,’ she revealed.
The November issue of Vogue goes on sale from Thursday (October 6). Photos by Alasdair McLellan.

Rihanna charges onto the Hot 100 at No. 16 with “We Found Love” (featuring Scottish DJ Calvin Harris), the first single from her forthcoming sixth studio album. Island Def Jam has not yet confirmed the title of the set, due Nov. 21.
The track enters Digital Songs at No. 7 with first-week download sales of 117,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and Radio Songs at No. 75 with 14 million out-of-the-box impressions, according to Nielsen BDS. With the song having been released digitally and to radio Thursday (Sept. 22), next week’s charts will reflect the song’s first full week of sales and airplay activity.
“We Found Love” ties for the second-highest debut of Rihanna’s 31 career Hot 100 entries. She started at a loftier rank only as a guest on Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie,” which soared in at No. 2 the week of July 10, 2010, before spending seven weeks at the summit. Rihanna’s “Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour),” with Jay-Z and Bono, also opened at No. 16 (Feb. 6, 2010).
As Rihanna sets up her next album, “Cheers (Drink to That),” from her most recent release “Loud,” reaches a new Hot 100 peak, rising 8-7. The song dips, however, in digital sales (114,000, down 5%) and airplay (60 million, down 6%).

According to Fragrantica.com, Rihanna’s second fragrance is called “Rebelle” and will be launched in 2012.
“Rebelle by Rihanna is a Floral Fruity Gourmand fragrance for women. Top notes are ploom, strawberry and ginger; middle notes are heliotrope, cacao and orchid; base notes are musk, patchouli, amber and coffee.”
Austingirlmusicguide.com listened to Coldplay’s “Princess of China” feat. Rihanna and said:
“Among the remaining tracks, the one I was looking forward to most was the highly anticipated Rihanna-guesting “Princess of China.” Despite all the fretting/assumptions about it, I feel it is truly a standout track, the centerpiece of the album. This is probably the only other place on Mylo Xyloto where any sort of hip-hop influences emerge, but it’s done in an even more subtle way than “Paradise.” Rihanna sounds totally different here, unlike anything she’s done, and the combination of her voice with Martin’s is surprising in the best way possible. I think the feeling was mutual around the room; people applauded “Princess of China” more than any other track and none of these dedicated fans seemed put off by Rihanna’s presence – in fact, it was the opposite. This is still a Coldplay song, and Rihanna’s contribution is one that adds not only to the track, but to Mylo Xyloto as a whole. I can’t wait to hear it again.”
