Rihanna shot the music video to “Wait Your Turn” on October 16, 2009. The director of the video is Anthony Mandler who shot most of Rihanna’s music videos. It premiered on November 3, 2009 on Rihanna’s official website.

Rihanna is featured in black-and-white scenes, wearing an eye patch and a high-necked jacket. She is seen in what looks like a park-like area, on a bridge with metal gates and in front of a skyline like background with lit up buildings. There are also scenes where she is sporting a black hoodie and singing the song in a church. The grainy clip was inspired by 1990′s hip hop music videos, by artists like The Notorious B.I.G., Wu-Tang Clan and Nas.
