Music meets fashion in Style’s first-ever competition series, Styled to Rock, from executive producer and fashion icon Robyn Rihanna Fenty. The hourlong 10-episode series gives 12 up-and-coming designers the opportunity of a lifetime: to create unique fashion pieces for A-list celebrities. The stakes will be high as these driven artists vie for the title of America’s next trendsetting designer.

She has a powerful and unique point-of-view that transcends every aspect of pop culture, including fashion, and is a leading creative force,” said Salaam Coleman Smith, President, Style Media. “On the heels of our successful network rebrand, Styled to Rock and Style’s new partnership with Rihanna will reinvent the fashion competition genre, fueling our viewers’ insatiable appetite for all things style. Fashion has always played an integral part in my life and career,” said Rihanna. “I am so excited to partner with Style Network and share my creative insight with these 12 designers and give them this opportunity to showcase their work.”

Rihanna will personally select the 12 designers who will compete for the coveted opportunity to dress some of the biggest names in entertainment. To help the designers reach their ultimate artistic potential, Rihanna will enlist the guidance of three top experts from the fashion industry to serve as mentors. Each week, challenges will push the designers to their creative limits when they are tasked with styling a star, and that celebrity guest will determine which designer best achieves their vision—and advances to the next week of competition. Faced with the threat of elimination, the remaining designers must meet with the mentors to discuss where they fell short and ultimately who will be sent home. In the end, one designer will be named the winner of Styled to Rock.

Rihanna’s “Diamonds” performance for the French TV Show La Chanson De L’Annee 2012 aired tonight (December 29) on TF1. Watch above and click the thumbnails below to see photos. The show was recorded earlier this month in Paris.

Rihanna performed her hit single “Diamonds” on the season finale of The Voice yesterday (December 18).

The season finale of “The Voice” has enlisted some high-profile talent to help send the show’s third cycle off with a bang. Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars and The Killers have been tapped to perform on the two-hour extravaganza, which will culminate with the crowning of a new champion, NBC said Wednesday. An additional special guest will be named at a later date, the network added.

Rihanna will perform her song “Diamonds,” while “American Idol” alum Clarkson – who has served as a guest mentor on the show, as well as hosting the rival singing competition “Duets” – is set to sing “Catch My Breath.” The Killers, meanwhile, will play their single “Runaways,” and Mars will debut the song “When I Was Your Man” from his sophomore album “Unorthodox Jukebox,” which was released Tuesday.

The season finale of “The Voice” will air live on December 18 at 8 p.m.
