RiRi is now in Detroit, Michigan. After being spotted at Los Angeles’ LAX Airport on Tuesday (July 22), her best friend shared a photo of the two of them in the city. Two of music’s biggest superstars, Rihanna and Eminem, will be joining forces this summer for a series of co-headlining stadium shows when they launch The Monster Tour. The tour, promoted exclusively by Live Nation, will kick off in Los Angeles on Thursday, Aug. 7 at the Rose Bowl with shows then lined up in New York City’s Metlife Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 16 and Detroit’s Comerica Park on Friday, Aug. 22. In the wake of their chart-topping hit “The Monster” from The Marshall Mathers LP 2, Eminem and Rihanna are heading on tour together. XXL Magazine reports that The Monster Tour stadium shows kick off this summer, with stops planned for New York, Los Angeles and Detroit.
“There are some shows coming up with Rihanna,” Eminem said in an exclusive interview in the latest issue of XXL Magazine. “It’s a three-city tour: New York, L.A. and Detroit coming in August. The Monster Tour.”
Eminem is featured on the most recent cover of XXL alongside Beats cultivators Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. In the issue XXL celebrates Beats Electronics and the launch of Beats Music, a music streaming service centered around the curation of playlists by genre experts (including XXL).
