Manchester Arena and O2 Arena, the two largest indoor arenas in the U.K., dominate this week’s Hot Tours rankings with concert box office totals reported from the final quarter of 2011.  Eight of the 10 top-grossing tours in this week’s tally are based on the reported grosses from these two arenas.

Rihanna is No. 1 with ticket sales revenue from the final European leg of her Loud Tour that began in June 2011 and wrapped in December.  Included in her reported totals are seven headlining performances at O2 Arena during the final two months of 2011 (Nov. 13-15, Dec. 1, 20-22).  More than 116,000 fans attended the seven London shows with tickets sales totaling £5.3 million ($8.5 US$).  The Manchester Arena also reported three Rihanna concerts, adding £2 million ($3.1 US$) to the native Barbadian’s $12.6 million combined box office gross that lands her this week’s top ranking. In addition to these two U.K. arenas, the 15,000-seat O2 World in Hamburg, Germany also reported ticket sales from its Loud Tour performance on Dec. 4 that drew a sellout crowd of 13,409.

The LOUD Tour is over!

Rihanna wrapped up her biggest tour to date tonight in London.

The tour consisted of almost a hundred arena dates this year, including a record-breaking 10 sold-out London O2 dates due to demand, Rock In Rio headliner, and her first stadium concert in Barbados. The tour, featuring over two dozen of her biggest hits, was acclaimed by critics and applauded by fans.

Since June 4, 2011, Rihanna has performed in the United States, Canada, Barbados, Finland, Norway, United Kingdom, Brazil, Ireland, France, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

Rihanna’s opening acts included J. Cole, B.o.B, Cee Lo Green and Calvin Harris. In a few shows she was joined by Drake, Jay-Z and Kanye West.

Rihanna Navy can’t wait to see you live again, RiRi!

It’s been a good run of concerts for Rihanna, who last night was awarded with a an award in recognition of breaking the record for the most sell-out dates at the venue by a female artist.

Rihanna will have performed to more than 170,000 fans over 10 nights, beating Britney Spears who packed houses over eight nights in June, 2009, during her Circus world tour.

Sally Davies, events director at The O2, said: ‘We at The O2 felt that this amazing record could not pass unrecognised and as Rihanna has spent so much of her time in London at our venue, we wanted to give her something to remember us by. We hope to see her here again very soon.’

Rihanna hosted a private party in London on Sunday (18th December) and dressed up as Madonna from her ‘Like A Virgin’ video.

The ‘We Found Love’ singer had just arrived in the capital in preparation for her final three shows of her ‘Loud’ tour and decided to put on a prom party for her tour crew and friends.

Rihanna tweeted:

I’m decked out in lace, sequins, a giant bow, and hair spray!!!!! #80sBaby

Big news Navy! You’ve been begging for it & Rihanna heard you! The last three dates of the LOUD Tour at the O2 in London will be filmed for a concert DVD coming out in 2012!

Princess RiRi performed in front of 18 thousand fans in Barcelona, Spain, last night (Dec. 14).
