Friends of low-key couple Chris Brown and Rihanna are learning their lesson — don’t kiss and tell!

R&B singer Ne-Yo opened up to the UK’s Sun newspaper about the private couple on Oct. 13 saying, “At first I did question whether it was real, but I’m good friends with both of them and I know that they are in a genuine relationship.”

Since then the hit maker, who wrote 20-year-old Rihanna’s hits Unfaithful and Take a Bow, is a mite miffed.

“I heard recently they were a little upset with me,” Ne-Yo, 29, told OK! at the Vacheron Constantin event in NYC on Oct. 22.

As for forcing Rihanna and Chris, 19, out of the romance closet?

“I’ve never done anything of the sort,” he told us. “I think it might be pictures of them kissing that makes people think that.”

ROMANTICALLY linked or not, when Chris Brown and Rihanna team up in a musical sense, they pack a powerhouse punch.

Once spotted canoodling at KFC, singer Rihanna and her “good friend” Chris Brown chose an upmarket location to be seen at while in Brisbane.

Local music fans reportedly spotted the duo, who have consistently denied being romantically involved, shopping at Louis Vuitton after arriving on Thursday. Yesterday the Umbrella singer attracted a huge crowd in the Queen Street Mall while out shoe shopping. An Aldo saleswoman said the singer, who was not accompanied by Brown on the shopping trip, bought a pair of suede sandals.

The pair kicked off their Australian tour by playing the Brisbane Entertainment Centre last night. They will perform again at the centre tonight, before heading to Adelaide tomorrow for a gig on Monday.

After greeting the Wellington crowd as Aucklanders, the 20-year-old from Barbados made a quick save and declared she owed them one.

HQ’s coming soon…

There was a lot of impractical footwear on display at Vector Arena last night but perhaps that was to be expected given the billing of Chris Brown and Rihanna.

Many of those in attendance looked young enough for the assumption to be made that it was their first concert. If that was the case, they wouldn’t have been disappointed.
