The Robin Hood Foundation gala, Wall Street’s largest single-evening fundraising event, had Rihanna onstage and took in $57 million tonight (May 14) at its annual New York dinner.

Founded in 1988, the Robin Hood Foundation raises money for 200 of New York’s poverty-fighting organizations. Its board — which includes Paul Tudor Jones II, Greenlight Capital’s David Einhorn, SAC Capital Advisors LP’s Steven A. Cohen, film producer Harvey Weinstein and actor Gwyneth Paltrow — covers the gala’s cost so that all proceeds go to the beneficiaries.
Rihanna attended the ‘Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations’ Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art tonight (May 7) in New York City.
RiRi also attended the event in 2007, 2009 and 2011.
The Costume Institute Gala (or Costume Institute Ball), known as the Met Ball and nicknamed the “Oscars of the East Coast”, is an annual ball that celebrates the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum’s (The Met) fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute.

Rihanna was photographed leaving her hotel in New York City today (May 5). She was heading to NBC Studios to get ready for her appearance on Saturday Night Live.
