Via 4Music: “Talk That Talk” is Rihanna’s sixth studio album and, according to her manager, Jay Brown, her desire to keep recording is driven by her love of music and her wish to satisfy demand from her fans.
Introducing the album at SARM Studios in London’s Notting Hill, Jay Brown said she was right to keep on releasing albums as “kids are always looking for new music.”
He also revealed plans for her to shoot the video for her next single “You Da One” in London and confirmed that they’re talking to Melina Matsoukas, who was at the helm on the “We Found Love” shoot, about possible concepts.
When asked about her plans for 2012, Brown said Rihanna would be promoting her movie debut Battleship, which is due for release in the UK on 18 April, and would begin work on a second big screen project towards the end of the year.
“I think you become disposable when you put out an album every three years. It’s not like we force her. She goes into the studio because she likes it. Nobody, when they’re buying an album, wants to skip over tracks. If there are too many songs, you dilute what you’re trying to do. When we were deciding the tracks to put on there, I wasn’t thinking about minutes and seconds. I just wanted to make sure it was all hits,” said Jay Brown.

We still don’t know the purpose of their 18h work, however, it’s rumoured to be a new Doritos endorsement.

The next leading lady in Taio Cruz professional life is Rihanna, 22. Taio has been cooking up some more traditional perky pop for the Barbados babe, moving away from her harder-edged Rated R sound.
“There was a big writing camp with 50 other producers writing for Rihanna’s next album. They had hired out 20 to 30 different studios and had everyone in there collaborating, switching people around. Each person did about six or seven songs. It doesn’t normally work like that but she’s a huge artist.”

Here’s a little tidbit about Rihanna you may not know about…
None other than Roisin Murphy’s partner Simon Henwood is the creative force behind the brand and styling concept of Rihanna’s new album “Rated R.” Henwood is a celebrated painter, filmmaker, set designer and brand visionary who was enlisted by Rihanna’s team to be the overall creative director for the pop star’s global imaging. Henwood conceived the look and feel for the logo, album, videos and TV spots – and is now working on Rihanna’s forthcoming world tour, including the show’s stage design, costumes and background visuals. Rihanna and Henwood worked closely together in the months leading up to the album release.
“We talked extensively for months before the album’s release, and looked at every aspect of the campaign-Â from styling to stage ideas and visuals,” he tells ArjanWrites.com. “Everything comes from the music, and this is her most personal album to date – so everything draws from it in one way or another. There is a great story that will unfold through the campaign, and finally reveal on the tour, partly inspired by the film – The Omega Man (click here to read about the movie) and of course ideas from the songs – as well as Rihanna’s personal visions.“
