Rihanna’s brand new song has been released on iTunes & Google Play today and once again she proved nobody can pass unbothered by her new music release. Make sure to read some of the reviews of the song!
“Bitch Better Have My Money” is designed to make clubs rumble and arenas explode, and will successfully do so over the next year and beyond. A more imaginative hook would have been nice, but Rihanna is not playing nice here.
The grinding, trap-infused track, produced by Deputy, follows up “FourFiveSeconds,” her collaboration with Paul McCartney and Kanye West, and is a drastic shift from that song’s gentle, acoustic tone. “Don’t act like you forgot I call the shots,” asserts Rihanna on the confident club banger

It’s a world away from the gospel-tinged campfire folk of the album’s first single, Kanye West/Paul McCartney collaboration “FourFiveSeconds.” This one is hypnotic, thudding, and confident, but the core’s the same: her voice, which seems to be reaching new heights.
The hard rhythm makes the most of Rihanna’s Caribbean accent, an intonation she has often relied on as a hook when all else fails. The Kanye connection in the song makes sense.

Navy, watch/listen above a longer version of Rihanna’s upcoming song “American Oxygen”, which provides the musical backdrop for NCAA March Madness on TBS, CBS, TNT & truTV. Tune in starting March 17th!
We can’t wait to hear the full version and watch the video directed by Uprising Creative, who also directed Ri’s “What Now” music video.
Two years, three months, and 20-odd days is a whole lot of time to wait for a new Rihanna album — and we’d know, because MTV News has endured the agonizing wait between Unapologetic and Rih’s eighth, yet-untitled studio album along with the rest of the world.
However, Rihanna gave us some clues about the album’s sound during a press day for her new animated movie “Home,” where she said that — just like “FourFiveSeconds” — a lot of the songs on the new LP will be soulful, heartfelt tunes to remember.
“I’ve made a lot of songs that are really, really big songs,” she said. “From the jump, they just blow up. And I wanted to kind of get back to — not that they weren’t real music, but I just wanted to focus on things that felt real, that felt soulful, that felt forever.”
Rih then admitted that many of her beloved hits from her past seven (!!) albums haven’t aged along with the artist, which she’s hoping to avoid with number eight.
“I wanted songs that I could perform in 15 years; I wanted an album that I could perform in 15 years,” she concluded. “Not any songs that were burnt out. I find that when I get on stage now, I don’t want to perform a lot of my songs. They don’t feel like me. So I want to make songs that are timeless.”
So far from what we’ve heard? She’s been pretty successful.
“Home” hits theaters on March 27.
RiRi went all-American for her stripped-down, denim-clad FourFiveSeconds video. And apparently, that wasn’t just a one-time thing.
On “American Oxygen”, the next new song we’ve heard off her still-untitled upcoming album, the pop diva dons faded jeans, a white tee and leather jacket as she writhes against a stars-and-stripes backdrop.
The new track will be featured throughout March Madness, and now all of a sudden, we’re basketball fans.
