You heard it here first, Navy!
This Thursday (December 18), Rihanna was seen at the Trocadero gardens in Paris for a still unkown fan experience related to her next album. She was seen running into her bodyguard’s arms and then touching fans’ hands.
You do not want to miss this. Bring your friends and meet at Trocadero Carroussel in Paris TODAY at 5:45pm.
Stay tuned for more…
Rihanna teased a brand new track (rumored to be titled “Kiss It Better”) on Instagram last night.
Tell us how do you like it!
There’s no word yet on when Rihanna will release her 8th studio album, but the songstress is doing quite the job playing the tease. After making a splash with her return to Instagram earlier this month, she’s made good use of the photo and video sharing app by reminding us of what we’d been missing.
Now RiRi has teased a new song on the site with a dark video with her echoing voice booming out, posted with the caption, “phuckin roun in da studio.”
There aren’t any tips on when we’ll ge to hear the full thing, or anything of the sort. You’ve got to hand it to her, she knows how to keep us waiting. Earlier today, she tweeted:
ANY news about #R8 will be delivered directly from me!!!!
Check out the sneak peek here:
Attention Navy! Rihanna has new music and we could be hearing it very soon. Watch the interview here.
“That’s my hope,” she said. “I’m really excited about the music that we’ve been working on, so I can’t wait for people to hear it.”
While making the press rounds, Rih didn’t rule out the possibility of a surprise album drop but kept tight-lipped on her exact plans for release.
Rihanna stepped out on Tuesday night as MAC’s Viva Glam Cosmetics ambassador, showing her support in the fight against AIDS at the premiere of Andrew Jenks’ new documentary It’s Not Over.
“[I’m] very excited, very honored [to be here],” she said. “This is gonna be an amazing event for an amazing cause, an amazing film. This documentary, It’s Not Over, is really gonna be educational for the youth [with] what’s going on and how they’re affected by HIV/AIDS all over the world.”
The film, which premieres on Netflix and Pivot on Nov. 19, follows three young people from different corners of the world who are affected by HIV/AIDS.
Rihanna has been keeping it quiet… until now! She won’t say when she plans to release new music but she is confident about what it sounds like.
“I can’t give you any hints of when it will drop. It’s going to be great, that’s all I’m going to tell you and I’m excited about it,” said the singer at a meet-and-greet Wednesday with fans at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The critic she is worried about is herself. “I try to battle myself and outdo everything I’ve done and that’s been the hardest thing to do. You start overthinking things at times,” she confessed. The 26-year-old typically has released albums in November in the past but wouldn’t comment on that. She just sad, “I can’t wait for everybody to hear (the music) little by little. … little by little. I can’t wait.”
Rihanna also brought along her new men’s fragrance, “Rogue Man,” her first for guys.
“I feel like what better way to get these people excited than to get them something nice, to smell good. They’re running around all day working hard. And, you know, the guys are sexy. They need to smell sexy.” She also joked about not having a “rogue man” of her own, saying with a wink, “hopefully I’ll find one here today on the base.”
Rihanna has kinda confirmed what we all suspected. Earlier today she tweeted a picture from a studio describing it as #R8. This is the hashtag fans use to describe Rihanna’s yet untitled 8th studio album. We’ve already seen images of Rihanna outside recording studios, joined by other musicians (including by Kanye West and Coldplay’s Chris Martin). So far we’ve only heard a confirmation from DreamWorks Animation that she is working on a concept album for their animated movie “Home”, which will be out early next year! Can’t wait!
Fresh off of yesterday’s Twitter-fueled speculation that Rihanna will be blessing the world with a new collaboration with rap goddess Nicki Minaj, VIBE caught up with Tor Erik—one half of the platinum production duo Stargate—for an inside look at the singer’s upcoming album, tentatively due out later this year.
The Norwegian studio craftsmen, who are currently garnering praise for their work on Michael Jackson’s posthumous Xscape release, have a long history of hits with Rihanna (four consecutive no. 1 singles and still counting). Chief among them 2007’s “Don’t Stop The Music,” 2010’s “Only Girl (In The World)” and 2012’s mammoth chart-topper “Diamonds.” So what’s in store for the Bajan beauty’s legion of Navy followers? Read on!
VIBE: You and your partner Mikkel Eriksen have been in the studio with Rihanna working on her upcoming album. Coming off the platinum success of Unapologetic, a project that saw her receive some of the best reviews of her career, what can fans expect from this upcoming project?
Tor Erik of Stargate: We are right in the middle of the record. We have written some incredible material that we are really excited about and that Rihanna is excited about. I can’t wait for the world to hear that. Because she moves around so much if you looked at paparazzi pictures it looks like all Rihanna does is party. But in the studio she is one of the most focused, hardworking artists, and she wants to get things done.
