Though it’s not an official single, Rihanna and Coldplay’s duet “Princess Of China” off the band’s Mylo Xyloto disc is already No. 4 on iTunes. So Coldplay decided to say a quick “Thanks” to their girl Ri by covering her latest smash “We Found Love” during their stop at BBC’s Radio 1 Live Lounge.

As you might expect, Coldplay completely reworked Rihanna’s Calvin Harris-produced club jam and turned it into a soft, uptempo ballad. Led by a piano melody, Chris’s voice puts a new spin on the dance-pop track: “Yellow diamonds in the light/Now we’re standing side by side/As your shadow crosses mine/What it takes to feel alive/It’s the way I’m feeling, I just can’t describe/It’s the way I’m feeling now.” Chris throws in a few of his signature falsetto notes too, just in case anyone didn’t think this cover was emo enough.

Rihanna has kept everyone buzzing this week about her video for “We Found Love,” a dizzying look at addiction.

‘There’s a lot of comparisons to her real life, and that’s not at all the intention,’ director Melina Matsoukas tells MTV News.

Rihanna and her main man in the video, played by British model/boxer Dudley O’Shaughnessy, are not only addicted to drugs, but also each other. The clip’s director, Melina Matsoukas, said the video is a warning about the dangers of those types of dependencies.

“We love, obviously, to do provocative imagery … we always try to definitely push the limits,” Matsoukas told MTV News. “I think because, in the end, it’s not really at all about domestic violence. Billboard is reporting that Rihanna’s collaboration with Coldplay – “Princess of China” – will be released as the group’s next single! Great choice! The song will be officially released on October 25th and will be promoting their new album “Mylo Xyloto”. So far the album’s first two singles, “Paradise” and “Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall,”have sold a combined 1.14 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Kuk Harrell, who co-wrote Rihanna’s hit song “Umbrella” tells HollywoodLife.com in an exclusive interview:

“In addition to touring, we are recording Rihanna’s new album. We have a portable studio that we set up at the different hotels that we are staying at. We set up shop anywhere in the hotel. Rihanna is an amazing talent. She’s smart. She’s so on point. She knows great songs and most importantly she knows what’s a great song for her!” He adds, “Before we went on the European leg of Rihanna’s Loud tour, we started recording the album in Los Angeles. Rihanna likes to work late hours, so she would come into the studio at 9:00 p.m. and work until 6:00 a.m.” Kuk says, “If I could produce Rihanna singing a duet with anyone it would be with Justin Bieber. That would be a blast. It would be so much fun because both of them are such great personalities.”

Rihanna’s sixth album titles Talk That Talk is due on Nov. 21, 2011.

“Talk That Talk”

That’s the name of Rihanna’s 6th album, coming on November 21st! Rihanna Navy managed to guess the title from the “R” scrap released on Rihanna Unlocked Facebook game! So how do you like the new title?

A new wax figure of Rihanna was unveiled in London’s Madame Tussauds today (October 3). The waxwork was based on the outfit the 23-year-old singer wore during a performance on The X Factor last year, where she sang alongside winner Matt Cardle.

The figure took four months to create and cost a staggering £150,000. Madame Tussauds spokesperson Liz Edwards, said of the new waxwork: “We are sure she will hit the right note with our guests as demand for her figure has been huge since her appearance on The X Factor 2010.”

• According to Fragrantica.com, Rihanna’s second fragrance is called “Rebelle” and will be launched in 2012.

“Rebelle by Rihanna is a Floral Fruity Gourmand fragrance for women. Top notes are ploom, strawberry and ginger; middle notes are heliotrope, cacao and orchid; base notes are musk, patchouli, amber and coffee.”

• Austingirlmusicguide.com listened to Coldplay’s “Princess of China” feat. Rihanna and said:

“Among the remaining tracks, the one I was looking forward to most was the highly anticipated Rihanna-guesting “Princess of China.” Despite all the fretting/assumptions about it, I feel it is truly a standout track, the centerpiece of the album. This is probably the only other place on Mylo Xyloto where any sort of hip-hop influences emerge, but it’s done in an even more subtle way than “Paradise.” Rihanna sounds totally different here, unlike anything she’s done, and the combination of her voice with Martin’s is surprising in the best way possible. I think the feeling was mutual around the room; people applauded “Princess of China” more than any other track and none of these dedicated fans seemed put off by Rihanna’s presence – in fact, it was the opposite. This is still a Coldplay song, and Rihanna’s contribution is one that adds not only to the track, but to Mylo Xyloto as a whole. I can’t wait to hear it again.”
