Rihanna’s full interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show aired today (November 21).

Before RiRi dished the deets on her love life, she talked about creating the new set alongside her amazing fans.

“You get overwhelmed by a host of emotions,” Rihanna said about the feeling on album release day. “You’re nervous, you’re excited, you’re anxious. But somehow I’m very excited this time. Talk That Talk, I felt like I made this album with my fans. I feel like they were there every step, and that’s because they were. Not physically, I mean besides being there on tour, but we were there on Twitter and every moment, they experienced every moment with me. I just can’t wait for them to own it ’cause it’s like theirs.”

RiRi also talked about shooting her incredible video for “We Found Love,” absolutely never dating her co-star Dudley O’Shaughnessy, her stance on being a role model, being named the sexiest woman alive by Esquire magazine, and so much more. Rihanna called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” from a bus en route to Belgium on Friday to premiere her second single, “You Da One” from upcoming fourth album “Talk That Talk” due out November 21st. With little time to waste since the massive success of 2010′s Loud, Rihanna‘s sixth studio album is already on the horizon and after the lead single “We Found Love“ hit the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, the superstar has released her second single “You Da One.” Listen:

RiRi gushes, “‘You Da One‘ is one of those records that became very addictive for me. I could not stop listening to this song. It’s very infectious.  It’s a sweet little love letter. I love that it has that reggae vibe, but it also has that little bit of dubstep. It’s kind of dirty. I love it.”

Produced by Britney Spears and Katy Perry‘s hit-maker Dr. Luke, “You Da One” is a radio-friendly record with island influence teeming with pop goodness and that signature Rihanna sound that carries across a dancefloor.

She continues, “The album snippets just came out yesterday, and people are really reacting. I know the songs that I love, and to see people react to them the same way that I do. I’ve lived with these songs for a while, but now it’s brand new. I have to go listen to my album all over again, because I got excited like I’ve never heard it.”

Rihanna’s fashion will now “scale back instead of having ‘a look.’  I just want to go back to something simple. Something flexible, a little more natural. It’s more about the music. I don’t want to become a gimmick. Ever.”

With nearly 10 million twitter followers Rihanna has “been able to connect with fans even more. There are things I never have to think about unless someone really asks. I am just me until someone just asks me, ‘What’s your favorite food.’ Then you have to really think about it.”

All Rihanna wants for Christmas is “Sleep with a big bow on it! That would be great. I’m praying that my phone shuts down.”

RD: First of all Rihanna fans would like to know how do you get to become Rihanna’s back up singer? How did you get to work with her?

I received a call for a private audition in LA. I found out a week later that I would be joining her on the road!

RD: How did you feel at the first live performance with Rihanna in front of thousands of fans?

My first performance with Rihanna was at the Grammy Awards in February this year. It was my first time ever attending the show and it was even more amazing to be there as a performer. I really got a feel for Rih and how great she is on stage. I couldn’t wait to start the tour with her.

RD: Which show with Rihanna do you remember the most and why?

Most memorable show for me so far was VFest in Chelmsford. There were over 90,000 people there and the energy was insane! I remember looking out into the crowd and there were so many people, I couldn’t tell where it ended. They were clapping and screaming, it felt amazing! Rih always does an amazing job but for some reason, I felt like her performance was extra special that night J

RD: Which song from Rihanna’s do you like to sing the most? Which one do you like the most?

I LOVE singing Hard and Cheers. They both have tons of energy and are super fun to perform with her on stage. My favorite song is California King Bed.

RD: You are now starting a huge tour around Europe. How do you feel travelling all around the world and visiting all these places? Is it exhausting or rather exciting?

Europe is AMAZING! We actually started in Brazil about four weeks ago. I can’t believe how fast these shows are going by. We do around 4-5 shows a week, with a lot of travel in between. It’s actually a pretty crazy schedule, but I’m too excited to ever be exhausted!

I feel extremely blessed that I get to do all of this traveling and singing, I’ve been dreaming of seeing the world all my life. I am enjoying every second of this amazing experience.

RD: Please tell us something more about you, where did you work, what are your plans for the future, do you have any solo material?

I live in LA and I’ve been singing professionally for over 10 years. In addition to being a Solo Artist, I have previously done background vocals for Sisqo and Lena Katina from t.A.T.u.

I play the Violin and the Piano. I am currently working on my third album and recently finished recoding my very first Christmas Album! The single “Christmas Crush” is available now on iTunes.

I love singing with Rihanna and can’t wait to see where my career takes me next!

ET Online: Rihanna takes on her first dramatic role in the summer blockbuster Battleship, and our own Mark Steines is exclusively with the Grammy winner on the USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor, HI.

“I got to shoot some really serious, powerful weapons, which is really, really fun,” says the singer, decked out head-to-toe in camouflage and fake tattoos. “We wanted a bunch of tattoos just to dirty me up a little bit — and, of course, no makeup.”

“She’s this badass weapons officer; she knows everything about weapons, not only hers, but all the weapons on board,” explains Rihanna, who went through some basic training exercises like a new recruit to prepare for the film. “It really got me into the emotion of the character. … She’s a fighter. She’s a killer. She’s not afraid of anything. She likes a challenge because she can handle it.”

The role requires a lot of ocean swimming and “really physical” acting amid chaos and explosions. In between skirmishes on land, sea and in the air, is there any romance on deck for Lt. Raikes?

“Not at all — she could care less about boys,” replies Rihanna. “I’m one of the boys.”

Clearly this isn’t The Love Boat.

Rihanna is standing on the deck of the U.S.S. Missouri in Oahu’s Pearl Harbor wearing fatigues and clucking like a chicken. Yes, you read that right. Clucking. Like a chicken. “Bwawk, BWAWK!”

Certainly not what one might expect to see the pop superstar doing on the set of her first movie, one about a battle at sea with aliens to boot, but blame it on Battleship director Peter Berg’s style. This particular scene takes place at the beginning of the movie when Admiral Shane (Liam Neeson, absent today) is giving a speech on deck to some 500 extras. Rihanna, as tough-chick sailor Raikes, is egging on two male sailors to go mess with one of the ranking officers, Hopper (Taylor Kitsch), but they’re balking, afraid of him. He has her repeat the line “Go mess with him!” over and over. The sailors refuse again.

“Now cluck like a chicken!” Berg hollers at her. “Again!” He instructs the soldiers to bait her, and ad lib. He starts throwing them lines right and left. “What are you, Col. Sanders?” Rihanna starts to look mildly pissed, as her handlers watch, giggling, from the sidelines. Finally Berg gets the take he wants, and they break.

She stops to chat with the small group of reporters invited to spend the day on the set checking out advance footage and conducting interviews. Asks one: “Did you know you were going to cluck like a chicken when you came to set?”

“No! [Peter Berg] is crazy,” she says, but doesn’t seem to mind. “It makes it so fun, so spontaneous, nothing is memorized. It’s a real reaction every time. I couldn’t ask for a better director to work with on my first film. ”

In her lilting accent, the Barbadian songstress turned actress goes on to describe how she became involved in the project—for someone already steeped in showbiz, she seems charmingly if incongruously wide-eyed about being here.

“It was weird how it happened; I walked into a meeting without my manager, which I don’t usually do. [Peter] just said hi, come in. I walked in and saw all these aliens and dolls and mockups. I was like, okayyyy….why are there pictures of aliens all over this room? I didn’t even know he was the director of this movie! It was a role I felt like I could handle for my first time acting and he was super enthusiastic about it.”

Berg handpicked a real-life Gunner’s Mate to show Rihanna the ropes, from the lingo to the weapons–a woman he noticed for the punk rock T-shirt she wore as the only woman playing soccer on one of the Navy teams during RIMPAC (Rim of the Pacific Exercise) in 2010.

As Raikes, who works in the combat information center aboard the destroyer and gets to fire weapons like the boys, she’s pretty much your basic badass (and the fatigues don’t hide all of her real-life tattoos). Prepping for the role involved working out just like a sailor would in the Navy—runs around the ship, weightlifting, swimming—and taking orders.

“One man drilled me, yelled at me, cursed me out, made me do pushups…my best friend was there and I told her, ‘I’m about to do acting class, you’re gonna want to kill this man but please, just stay in the other room.’ She would come in and just look around and be like, ‘Did he just say F.U. to her?’” She laughs. “It got you really in the mentality, that’s the stuff that they go through; it’s not a walk in the park.” Her reaction? “I wanted to say F. U. right back but he probably would have thrown me through the window! I was so scared, I just looked at him like, I swear I’ll get it right, I’ll be good!”

She didn’t mind at all being the lone female on the team.

“This is how I grew up; most of my friends were guys. In this case I’m one of the guys. I’m not acknowledged as the female, no sympathy for me. She’s tougher than most guys on the ship; she walks with that swagger, gets that respect.” Don’t expect to see her wearing an evening gown for any love scene, either. “What evening gown? Even if she could she wouldn’t. She doesn’t like boys, doesn’t like girls. She’s just about her weapons and her work.”
