We all know how much Rihanna’s UK Navy goes hard for her. However, four of them decided to take over New York last week! Four fans who are always seen outside Rihanna’s hotel everytime she’s in London flew to the U.S. and here’s Patsy‘s story:
It all started in September 2012, after the May 4th Brooklyn DWT tickets were released. Myself (Patsy), Lauren, Jen and Janessa were all welping about how much we would would love to fly out to New York to see the show as it was the final date of the North American leg of the tour. As you can imagine the tickets for that show sold out within no time. But to our luck Rihanna announced a second date at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn on May 5th just a few days later after the high demand for tickets to the first original show. We all agreed to have a ‘YOLO moment’ in which we bought tickets to the show in Brooklyn without having any flights, accommodation or anything else booked, we just knew we had 8 months of hard work, and saving up to do to pay off this trip and make it happen! By January we managed to book our hotel and flights, all set to take off from London Heathrow May 3rd and return back home May 9th.

September 2012. Right after the VMAs Rihanna made the Diamonds World Tour announcement. I was so shocked I knew she was touring in 2013, but I wasn’t expecting it to be announced like so fast. So they announced VIP Packages and Meet & Greet wasn’t included in the package I was shocked & kinda upset about this. As I did meet her on the Last Girl On Earth Tour with the meet & greet package (Hershey, PA). During the Loud Tour I had second row & first row for two shows during the North American leg (Baltimore & Atlantic City). Then I purchased Ultimate Front Row VIP Packages to the Baltimore & Washington, DC shows for DWT. Along came creeping March 12th and the show got postponed it was sad, but it was postponed so I didn’t make a huge deal about it.
RiRi met @DruChaos, a quite popular Rihanna Navy member, in St. Paul on Sunday. In case you don’t remember, Dru won Viddy’s contest to meet Rihanna at last year’s VMAs, watch the video here.

After driving 2 long hours to get the the venue for the tour, I didn’t care for anything but for the show to start. But me, knowing Rihanna, knew that wasn’t happening anytime soon. So as I sat with my friend, I was rather bored, because I wanted to see Rihanna already. I looked around the room and witnessed something shocking. Almost everyone was on their feet dancing, having fun, enjoying the environment. I was so amazed at all the people that Rihanna brought together, all at once. All these people had something in common. Their like or love for Rihanna. What other reason would they have for being here. I was in awe at the fact that we were all here for her. It was a beautiful and inspiring moment. A once in a lifetime moment. It then hit me that this IS a once in a lifetime opportunity, so I got up and started dancing along, embracing myself and the environment.
Tami Black, a lucky fan from Indiana, got the chance to meet RiRi last week after her show in Chicago. Tami was kind enough to share her story with us, so make sure to read it below, it’s one of our favorites!
We were there at the United Center since 7:30pm. Just waiting for Rih. She hit the stage at around 10pm. Asap Rocky didn’t perform so from 7:30-10 it was just music playing but I didn’t care, I was there to see my love, Robyn. So we explored the center. We walked around holding our signs (myself and my daughters). We took to a table, put our stuff down and just started dancing. Maya and I danced and danced, people were walking by and looking, some smiled, some started dancing, some read my sign and kept it moving. We were having a ball without a care. Our seats weren’t the best, but we were gonna make the best of the situation because we drove from Indiana to Chicago and my mind was made up to make it the best time for myself and the girls. We were going to see Rihanna! It was my dream and birthday wish to meet her. She’s my fav celeb person because shes an island girl, a great artist, she can sing, create, design. She’s just the all around package and I admire her for all she’s been through. She’s a soldier. Plus, she loves her fans. She actually takes time out to interact with us, shes the most realest and down to earth person ever. Did I mention how gorgeous she is? Omg!
Last night (March 17), a lucky fan called Dilek aka @igotadamnnavy (which is her Instagram name suggested by Rihanna herself), had the chance to meet RiRi backstage at the Montreal show. She told us:
“I will always remember the Diamond World Tour. It was fascinating to be [sitting] next to Rihanna’s Mother and Aunt and to be able to sing her songs with them. It was surreal. I had so much fun, last night was special, Rihanna sang with all her soul & heart. I could almost feel grangran Dolly. I am blessed, to see her smile in real life is 10 times better than seeing her in pictures. She is amazing, I’ll always be by her side, she has a lot of love to share with her fans and that’s why I will never let her down. To whoever has the opportunity to go to her show, scream, cry, let it all out… just enjoy and close your twitter & instagram because the next thing you know, you’ll wake up the next morning telling to yourself ‘It’s already over.’”

That was one crazy ride! The 777 Tour has wrapped two weeks and we are still trying to remind ourselves if we’ve really been there! Not to mention that a couple of days in our calendar seem completely vanished.
A couple weeks ago, we were invited to join Rihanna on the 777 tour – 7 shows in 7 cities in 7 countries… Travelling on a Boeing 777 (like diamonds in the sky)! If you get an e-mail like that you are already mindblown. Rihanna wants us to join her?! Wow!
Due to some technical issues on our side we’ve decided to join the 777 crew in Stockholm, Sweden. Natalie is from Poland so the flight didn’t take long but for Rodrigo, who is from Brazil, it was a crazy 17h flight. For the very first time, the RihannaDaily founders were united in Sweden, all this thanks to Rihanna herself! Epic!
