Lil’ Kim released her own remix to Rihanna’s “Hard,” but reveals that another pairing could be in the works. “I’m a huge Rihanna fan, and she’s a friend of mine, so if I had to guess, I’m 90% sure that song is probably in the works,” she told Australian website Lifelounge. But Kim, who’s currently playing intimate shows in the U.S. and abroad, doesn’t want people to judge the song before it happens. “I look at it this way: if it happens, it happens. And it should be a surprise. It shouldn’t be something that people are anticipating, or have their own personal opinions on it before it even comes out. So I probably won’t ever mention that again.” Although she may have choice words for Diddy and Drake, it’s all love when it comes to RiRi. “I just love Rihanna, I think she’s great,” gushed Kim.
Everyone is begging for a beat from Alex Da Kid these days. The British producer currently has two songs in the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100—Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love the Way You Lie” and B.o.B and Hayley Williams’ “Airplanes.” Alex stopped by Rap-Up’s Pre-BET Awards Lounge last weekend to score some free gifts and chat about his latest projects including Rihanna. Many of the collaborators working with Rihanna on her new album are looking to take her from the dark and moody tone of her last album — inspired mostly by the break-up with her famous ex — into a happier place, but if London-based producer/DJ duo Liv and Mim, collectively known as Nervo, have their way, singing about love won’t be off the menu.
Liv and Mim, twin sisters from Australia, known for writing and producing songs for pop elite like Ke$ha, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, and Kelly Rowland, and longtime collaborators of David Guetta, tell NeonLimelight.com they’ve crafted something special for the pop princess that they hope will make the final cut of RiRi’s as-yet-untitled fifth album.
“It’s a love song,” Liv told us coyly, not wanting to go into detail since the song hasn’t officially been picked up for the album, though Team Rihanna “really like” it. Pressed for more, she answered: “It has a quirky lyric actually… a really quirky lyric”
Moving from pitching the track to getting into the studio with Rihanna to bring it to life would be music to Nervo’s ears since Rihanna is high on their list of artists they’d love to work with.
“I just love her and I think ‘Rude Boy’ is such a great record,” Liv said. “She’s on fire. I really can’t wait to work with her.”
Rihanna’s new album is currently scheduled for release later this year.

Rapper Drake keeps being asked about Rihanna because of this song. He recently said:
“I addressed it on my album. It’s not a broken heart, it’s just for me, I’m in such a confident position that I’m almost numb to feeling small. It’s been so long since a woman has made me feel small and that’s a real emotion. When you want to be a part of a woman’s life and you are nervous, all of these things that maybe I was when I was 15 or 16, it’s just been a while since I felt like that. I really looked at it as paying homage to her for giving me that feeling. I just respect her for bringing that feeling back for me because it was real. It was a real emotion.” [...] “It really wasn’t meant to be some “pity me”. It was one of the most beautiful thing I’ve experienced in a long time. It’s so rare that I feel nervous and small due to a woman’s presence. And I will tell you that, Rihanna had me so overwhelmed at the time that we met and throughout the duration of our friendship (or whatever it was that we had) that she gave me an emotion I truly miss in my life. On the album I wanted to pay homage to her for giving me that emotion. I don’t know when the next time I will feel that. I would say that I was very in to that situation but I wouldn’t say I loved her. I didn’t get to know her well enough to say that I love her.”

When Rihanna released her “Rated R” last fall, she showed fans that she was in a darker, more serious mood. Tracks like “Russian Roulette” and “Hard” were decidedly more introspective than her past club bangers. But if superstar French DJ David Guetta has his way, he’ll have Rih back to singing tunes like her mega-hit “Umbrella.”
“Well, you know I’m a DJ, so I make beats that make you wanna dance,” Guetta told MTV News at the Activision E3 party in Los Angeles. “And I think she was one of the first to do that in that urban world, so you know, I think it would be good for her to do it again.”
While the producer already has some material in mind for the pop star, he said it was just a matter of scheduling.
“We['re] thinking of doing something together, yes,” he revealed. “Yeah, yeah, yeah [the beat's ready], we just have to make sure it’s OK with her schedule and my schedule, ’cause … this is what happens. Unfortunately, it’s not only about the music anymore, it’s also about schedules, which is really boring but, you know.”

During a recent interview about EXTREME’s new live album, Take Us Alive, guitarist Nuno Bettencourt discussed being a part of pop star Rihanna’s live band on her current world tour. An excerpt is available below:
“That was one of those unexpected little things that happens. A friend of mine, Tony Bruno, called me up when Extreme was off the road and he told me that if I wasn’t doing anything, Rihanna was looking for a guitarist. He told me that before I said no – and I guess he figured I would because there isn’t really a lot of guitar in her songs – the idea was that she wanted to make the live show a bit heavier because she’s into bands like Linkin Park and stuff like that. She wanted somebody to make things rock a little bit, which meant that I would basically get to do what I do if I took the job. I thought it was really interesting to be able to play my style of guitar over her stuff, I thought it would be fun, so I went for it. It’s cool. I wouldn’t have been interested if I wasn’t able to be myself, and it’s a challenge because the set is 24 or 25 songs that requires a different sort of guitar playing to pull it off. At one point I’m playing pop stuff and making it a bit heavier, there’s some funk and R & B, some ballads, some piano stuff, even some Hispanic flamenco, so it keeps things interesting. It certainly feels more at home than I thought it would.”

Katy Perry is set to wed actor Russell Brand in India later this year, but first Rihanna will throw her a girls’ night out. “I have to come up with something cool ’cause she’s getting married in India. I’m like, ‘Now what do I do to match that for a bachelorette party?’” RiRi asked Ryan Seacrest in April. Perry has the answer.
“I hope she’s the one stripping at my bachelorette [party] ’cause she’s hot,” she confessed to AMP Radio’s McCabe.
Rihanna has taken on the responsibility of planning Katy Perry’s bachelorette party. But she can save money on hiring strippers because her BFF would rather see her shed her clothes.
Rihanna’s boyfriend Matt Kemp surprised her at her 22nd birthday party by hiring a porn star midget to give her a lap dance.
