Last night (November 20, 2011) was a star-studded event at the 2011 American Music Awards. Many top-charting musicians gathered together inside Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre for a memorable and thoroughly entertaining show. Rihanna wasn’t present at the show due to her tour in Europe however she did won an award for Favorite Soul/R&B Album!! Congratulations!
After winning Favorite Soul/R&B Album for ‘Loud,’ Rihanna proceeded to thank her fans in a prerecorded video from overseas. “This means a lot to me. I love you guys. Thanks to all my fans,” she said with smiles. Watch below:

After American Music Awards Rihanna was seen leaving Hollywood hotspot SHG’s My Studio holding hands with her cousin Noella (who also danced with Rihanna on stage at the AMA event). RiRi and her entourage were also spotted at Giorgio Baldi restaurant that evening.

When Rihanna opens Sunday’s American Music Awards show in LA, she will perform live for the first time “Love the Way You Lie Part II,” along with “Only Girl (In The World),” AMA sources tell UsMagazine.com exclusively.
Rihanna is nominated for Favorite Female Artist along with Alicia Keys and Sade.
The AMAs will air on ABC on Sunday at 8 pm ET.
