Rihanna gets MTV Video Music Awards nomination

Congratulations to Rihanna on her 2015 MTV Video Music Awards nomination for Best Video With a Social Message for “American Oxygen”. She wrote on Instagram:

Unfortunately, since the “Bitch Better Have My Money” video wasn’t released by June 30th, it wasn’t eligible for this year’s awards show.

Rihanna previously won Monster Single Of The Year and Video Of The Year for “Umbrella” in 2007 and Video Of The Year for “We Found Love” in 2012.

Surprise! Rihanna showed up at the 2015 BET Awards in Los Angeles to introduce the trailer to her “Bitch Better Have My Money” music  video.

Ri didn’t walk the red carpet and sat next to her best friend Leandra in the audience. She was seen posing for photos with professional boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Nicki Minaj’s mom. As always, she was a trending topic worldwide on Twitter.

Rihanna nominated for BET Award

The 2015 BET Awards nominees have been announced and Rihanna is up against Beyoncé, Ciara, Janelle Monáe, Jhené Aiko and K. Michelle in the category Best Female R&B/Pop Artist.

The BET Awards will celebrate its 15th anniversary live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 28.


Rihanna to perform at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards

Jamie Foxx will host the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards, live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles Sunday, March 29th on NBC.  The announcement came Monday morning, along with a star-studded list of performers and artists to appear on the show, and it’s going to be a big one!

Rihanna, Iggy Azalea, Sam Smith, Madonna, Jason Aldean, Jamie Foxx, Meghan Trainor, Jason Derulo, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Snoop Dogg, Nate Ruess, Alesso and Florida Georgia Line will all perform along with appearances from Taylor Swift and more to be announced.  This year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards will also feature unexpected collaborations from some of the top names in music.

“This is the night we celebrate the biggest songs and artists we played for fans on our iHeartRadio stations across America and on the iHeartRadio app over the past year, along with a look at what’s coming in 2015,” said John Sykes, President of Entertainment Enterprises for iHeartMedia, Inc.  “And who better to host than both a Grammy winning musician and Oscar winning performer Jamie Foxx? This is going to be an amazing star packed Sunday night of music on NBC.”

The 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards air live Sunday, March 29th at 8pm ET/PT on NBC, and will be broadcast simultaneously on iHeartMedia stations nationwide and across the iHeartRadio digital music platform.

At the 2014 show, Rihanna won Artist Of The Year, Song Of The Year (“Stay”), Hip-Hop/R&B Song of the Year (“Pour It Up”) and Best Fan Army.


Rihanna wins 8th Grammy Award

Eminem and Rihanna just won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for their 2014 hit single “The Monster”!

The award was announced during the show’s pre-telecast. Rihanna later performed her new song “FourFiveSeconds” with Kanye West and Paul McCartney.

And this marks Rihanna’s 8th Grammy Award… coming just in time with her 8th album!
