J. Cole was asked what was it like shooting in Rihanna’s hometown: “I don’t know if the Rihanna shots are going to make the final cut. But she came out to show love. The intention wasn’t for her to be in it. But yeah, everyone knew she was there and she’s a hometown hero, so it was crazy.”
Rihanna tweeted: “#CHEERS Longest video shoot EVERRRRR!!!!……”
Rihanna’s trainer, Ary Nunez, said: ”Rihanna trains as much as she can, whenever she can. This could be every day or three times a week. Her work schedule is extremely demanding, so thank goodness she’s naturally a hard-working person. We make time and find time – whether it is at 4am or 9am.” According to the trainer, RiRi is even willing to work out while having her hair and make-up done. Ary added: ”We always squeeze it in.” She told the new issue of Britain’s Star magazine: ”Rihanna has a gifted physique. She can become lean, get ‘baby guns’ [biceps] and firm up her core quickly. Her physique is the epitome of classic beauty, it’s feminine, strong, agile, poetic and versatile.”

The Barbados Tourism Authority unveiled the first phase of the three-year Rihanna deal which will see the top rated entertainer headed to Brazil with a Bajan team next month.
Chairman of the BTA, Adrian Elcock told a post-Rihanna concert press conference that the Facebook page campaign would be launched soon, and also announced that a recorded version of the legendary local concert should be coming to televisions soon. Though not specifying what stations or whether it would be shown there as well as on several of the networks they were looking at for the viewing, Elcock said this was just one part of the first phase of the deal. He revealed that on the Facebook page, the star would indicate several of her favourite places on the island and the Barbados flag would be prominently displayed on her website as a means of “reinforcing national pride”.
Along with the promotional programmes that she will be involved in, Elcock said Rihanna would be headed to Sao Paulo, Brazil for a major campaign there.
“We are in the process, during the period September 17 to 21, I believe, she will be doing four appearances in Brazil. We are going to have a major celebration in Sao Paulo where we are going to try to recreate some level of Barbadiana using local performers we will carry from here, using local food to create the ambience. We are also going to anchor that with a meet and greet with persons of influence in Brazil [who] we believe … can get persons to come to Barbados, and Rihanna will have a chance to interact with those persons,” he said.
Additionally, Elcock said there would be advertising and local media around her shows in Brazil. According to the contract that is being negotiated with the BTA, Barbados will also be allowed to use the star’s image in two campaigns per year over the course of the three-year deal, and the BTA president said they were already working on ideas as to how this can be maximised.

Rihanna is standing on the deck of the U.S.S. Missouri in Oahu’s Pearl Harbor wearing fatigues and clucking like a chicken. Yes, you read that right. Clucking. Like a chicken. “Bwawk, BWAWK!”
Certainly not what one might expect to see the pop superstar doing on the set of her first movie, one about a battle at sea with aliens to boot, but blame it on Battleship director Peter Berg’s style. This particular scene takes place at the beginning of the movie when Admiral Shane (Liam Neeson, absent today) is giving a speech on deck to some 500 extras. Rihanna, as tough-chick sailor Raikes, is egging on two male sailors to go mess with one of the ranking officers, Hopper (Taylor Kitsch), but they’re balking, afraid of him. He has her repeat the line “Go mess with him!” over and over. The sailors refuse again.
“Now cluck like a chicken!” Berg hollers at her. “Again!” He instructs the soldiers to bait her, and ad lib. He starts throwing them lines right and left. “What are you, Col. Sanders?” Rihanna starts to look mildly pissed, as her handlers watch, giggling, from the sidelines. Finally Berg gets the take he wants, and they break.
She stops to chat with the small group of reporters invited to spend the day on the set checking out advance footage and conducting interviews. Asks one: “Did you know you were going to cluck like a chicken when you came to set?”
“No! [Peter Berg] is crazy,” she says, but doesn’t seem to mind. “It makes it so fun, so spontaneous, nothing is memorized. It’s a real reaction every time. I couldn’t ask for a better director to work with on my first film. ”
