Rihanna wins Songwriter of the Year at the 2017 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards

Rihanna won the Songwriter of the Year award during the performing rights organization’s annual R&B/Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta last week (August 31).

Rihanna won the BMI Award thanks to “Love On The Brain”, “Needed Me“, “Too Good” (Drake feat. Rihanna) and “Work“. She did not attend the show.

The BMI Awards are annual award ceremonies for songwriters in various genres organized by Broadcast Music, Inc..

Rihanna nominated for the 2018 MTV VMAs

Congratulations to N.E.R.D and Rihanna! Their 2017 collab “Lemon” is nominated for Best Collaboration and Best Editing at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards.

The 2018 VMAs will air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York on Monday, August 20. Vote here.

The nominees for the 2018 Billboard Music Awards have been revealed and Rihanna is up for Top R&B Female Artist and Top R&B Song!

The 2018 Billboard Music Awards will air on NBC for the first time this year, broadcasting live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 20, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The three-hour event — produced by dick clark productions — will commemorate 60 years of Billboard charts.

Nominees for the BBMAs are selected through a number of factors, including key interactions with music fans, album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement, as tracked by Billboard and its data partners over a 12-month period.

The 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards took place in Los Angeles this weeekend. Although Rihanna did not attend the show, “Wild Thoughts, her collaboration with DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller, won Hip-Hop Song Of The Year.
