Rihanna’s Exclusive Crop Over Photo Diary in Barbados

Published

on

Earlier this week, Rihanna broke the Internet with her iconic Crop Over Festival outfit, and still, no one is over it. The Carnival Queen, who has attended Kadooment Day in her native Barbados four times, donned a custom beaded two-piece, replete with jewels upon jewels below mega-hoops that dangled like chandeliers, with a neon-soaked kaleidoscope of feathers in tow. Oh, and that wig—that cotton candy, cobalt blue wig, which was capped with a bejeweled crown to frame her long faux lashes and glossy peach-pink pout—matched her carefully sculpted talons like a boss.
And with her highly anticipated launch of cosmetics line Fenty Beauty next month, it’s hard to imagine this isn’t one big celebration for what’s to come. Let’s hope for a range of magnetic shimmering shades of lip gloss, pretty pinks for the lids and cheeks, and creamy black liners that turn bad gal with one smudge.

For now, go behind the scenes with this beauty renegade during one of her more iconic moments of the year. There are never-before-seen snapshots of her headdress, her many bedazzled accessories, and, of course, the star herself, standing in front of the mirror and carefully placing her face jewels. Amid a serene background of glimmering friends and festival-goers, it’s a day just like every other: It’s all eyes on Rih.
