Tiki Taane has posted a video of himself and Inia Taylor from Moko Ink giving Rihanna a traditional Maori Tattoo. The pair met the singer when Taane was given some backstage passes to her Auckland shows earlier this week.
Apparently the tattoo is not finished yet, it will all become one with the other tattoo next to it. Check out the video below:
Moko tattooing is known as one of the oldest, most primitive and highly recognizable types of tattoo. Using the chisel and a small hammer, the Maori lightly tap into the surface of the skin after dipping the chisel into the dark navy ink. Following the completion of the chiseling, the artist will then drop the dye into the open wounds.
