Rihanna shooting “Diamonds” music video (Updated)

RiRi is shooting a music video for “Diamonds”, the first single off of her 7th studio album, tonight!

Rihanna’s best friend Melissa shared a beautiful photo of RiRi backstage. Fans also shared pictures from the music video set, click here and here to see the first ones.

The video is being directed by Anthony Mandler, who has directed over 15 Rihanna music videos, including “Man Down”, “Only Girl”, “Russian Roulette”, “Disturbia” and “Unfaithful”.

“Diamonds” is the fastest rising single of Rihanna’s career to this date – the song has already reached #1 on iTunes in over 25 countries, and Top 5 in another 55 countries!

The album cover needs to change, it shows no growth.
The video seems too dark for the feeling of song, the fact that its night with fire makes me wonder the intent of song.
The hair shaving has been done by her and others, this too shows no growth but moving backwards.
