okay. let me grab my bag of chips now and watch the first half that i missed. what i seen so far… … don't let me say a word. simple impression is she living in a dream world. and didn't cb rap about that. i guess he's just playing nice to not hit her down and hurt her mentally too. this what that looks like from the 3rd eye.

    • #TeamMe

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

    • SOSMANDOWN

Looks like the next album going to be soft and down to earth. Got to give her credit, she answered the questions honestly, she didn't lie or say that it's to personal. Great interview! Her fan base will grow, check out her record sales for tomorrow. It's raining, she's gonna need more ella's!

      • LilMsSunshine

        Hey SMD…

I agree. I believe RIHANNA's fan base is going to grow as a result of the interview. And she'll probably gain a more mature fan base. (GOOD FOR HER).

And although I really enjoyed the interview, I did feel that there was a little too much conversation about Chris Brown. After a few minutes of talking about the 2009 incident, as far as I was concerned, it was time to move on. There's so many topics/subjects that she's never discussed in detail, I would have loved to have heard something new, instead of hearing about how much she still loves Chris Brown, and yada, yada, yada.

But all and all, she looked FABULOUS!!! And I LOVED her dress.

        • Bodacious

          LilMsSunshine i cosign u!!

          • Bodacious

One is that we are all responsible for our actions, our behavior, and our words, and we must take responsibility for everything we say and do. When you get your head wrapped around that, you can no longer think of life as a series of random events – you participate in life in a way you didn't previously. I am the architect of my destiny. I am in charge. I bring that to me, or I push that away. You can no longer blame other people for things that happened to you. The other is that there is order in the universe, even though it looks like chaos. We separate the world into categories: this is good and this is bad. But life is set up to trick us. It's a series of illusions we invest in. And ultimately those investments don't serve our understanding, because physicality is always going to let you down, because physicality doesn't last.

            • SOSMANDOWN

Damn Bodacious, if you could turn those words to lyrics, wow!

            • LilMsSunshine

              VERY WELL SAID……

        • SOSMANDOWN

@ LilMsSunshine, I agr, Wait! How are you able to time his full name and get it posted? Is this Robyn Rihanna Fenty?

          • SOSMANDOWN

Yo, I just typed his name and it wouldn't post! Oh, it has to be approved by the admin. False alarm Navy! I thought we got her!

          • SOSMANDOWN

spell check time s/b type….that how excited I was!

          • LilMsSunshine

Are you saying that when you type Chris' name it will not show in your comment???? If that's correct, I have no clue why that's happening!!!

            Hummmm……

    • seph

lover her. realest celeb out there. cheers to family, happiness and good vibz. now everyone can just get off with all their opinions. at the end of the day you and make decisions that are best for you. thats what people should take away from her

    • Veronica

Wow!!now people know why I’m NAVY!!How can you not love her?!!I’m actually crying right now,I’m so proud and that end part with her mom.lemme go grab my tissue*sighs* Gud nyt y’all may y’all dream of Rihanna..

    • Precious

Morning Rihanna Navy.I really love love Rihanna ne,but sometimes i feel she has a low self-esteem,how can u say u were worried about a guy who almost killed u.honstly Fuck love, dont care how much u love someone if that person is bad for u just let it go and move on.#super angry fan

      • ikkinnik

This is how she could 'worry' for a guy who treated her badly. It's like a family member you love who does bad things.

        • ikkinnik

That was his defense mechanism to confrontation, what he seen. He knew no better. So as a person who cares that's how she reacted, because she understood that it wasn't 'him' but it was him 'needing help'.

          • ikkinnik

I was the same way with my abusive mother. I still cared and wanted to protect her because I knew it wasn't 'her' but her still being a lost woman reacting to how her father treated her. So she treated me the same way. It's all she knew.

      • http://twitter.com/IlseSongBird @IlseSongBird

it aint just about love..it's about fixing the root cause of another human being's flaw. She's actually very emotionally intelligent. we should care about other's emotional well-being other than ourselves..he might just do that to someone else someday ya know

        • Bodacious

          We should all know that
consciousness is everything and that all things begin with a thought. That we are responsible for our own fate, we reap what we sow, we get what we give, we pull in what we put out. I know these things for sure.We all bleed the same color and pain and love differently but at the end of the day we all want
to be loving and kind to all!!

    • rockmo

i REALLY loved that interview. for me robyn showed to us what a big heart she has and how much she loves her family. very down to earth and positive woman.

i think the whole cb situation is: shes young, she doesnt know what true love really is (a man who really loves you and those men will NEVER take a hand on u) and i really really hope that she will see that one day and find that man in her love..

      PEACE

    • Veronica

@precious I understand that you mean the best for her but I think you’re rather harsh and insensitive with your remarks, moreover take note she used past tense i.e ‘was’ while refering to her ex..the navy should be protective of her instead of attackin

    • Veronica

I just have to ask if we as fans don’t defend rihanna do you expect her haters to?its time you as a fan evaluate yourself and see where your loyalty lies.Rihanna is being attacked coz she spoke her mind?!be real #phuckyobipolarity..

    • Precious

@Veronica I love Rihanna jo,and i mean no harm to anyone i have been loyal since i was in primary school now in varisty and still a big biggest fan.I know as a fan i should defend her but eish sometimes its hard, cause she does things i dont agree with or allow a women should and fuck haters.RihannaNavy

    • Veronica

@precious as I said before I understand she has her own share of mistakes but this time round she did nothing wrong, she just spoke her mind regardless of the backlash she knew she’d get,I didn’t mean to make you feel bad just felt I should tell you that..

    • http://twitter.com/rihannanaviboom JasmineAdoresRiRi

I admire Rihanna, cuz she’s not afraid to speak out.Yeah Rih I adore u.Thanks for make ur #Navi proud!

    • http://twitter.com/SparkyRih @SparkyRih

I never really watch interviews (as a Rihanna fan), but I knew I HAD to watch this one… I knew this was going to be a real one, and it was!

I feel like these kind of interviews allow you to get to know who Robyn is a little bit better… I see a lot of myself back in her, I guess that's why I'm such a big fan… I mean I love her musicand her looks, but the fact that she stays so down-to-earth, and cares so much about everyone (close) around her makes me a real fan… I know that she's telling the troth in her music, and it has helped me a lot in the past…

    • free

I have lost all respect for Rihanna after watching this interview.

      • ikkinnik

smh…you don't understand her and her situation that's all. I grew a new found respect. If only you lived…have you ever lived? I understand her completely.

      • Gantunu

@ free, did you watch it really ?? or you're just there pretending?? stop that then, a cross da globe , it's you only …, anyway no suprise at all…. such people like you , will be there

      • Bodacious

One set of circumstances does not complete you. Maybe nothing ever does. So you work on your life and you work on your 'work' and you try to live every single day like it's your last. And you try to be better, to yourself and to others. I don't always succeed. But I try and it's my goal.

      • carla

Soooo, we can count on you to keep your ass off this site. She is a sweet person and she has the right to love whom ever she wants. din't you listen to what gran gran dolly said. FORGIVENESS is what frees us to move on. Move the (inthewordsof robyn) PHUCK on. PHUCKYORESPECT. AHHHAHAHAHAHA.

    • nicole

      omg i love u girl proud of u :'))

    • ikkinnik

Boo my comment didn't post. I'll try to keep it short this time. I was worried because I knew that incident wasn't 'them' it was defense mechanism from growing up in bad household. I knew she had to mend with her father to find peace within herself and I was surprised she knew to go to the source of it all and she did it. I'm proud of her.

    • JohnTLoud1

      Amazing interview

    • lilly

people forget rihanna is her stage name
      Robyn is the real rihanna.

    • Ty1

She's still very protective of the CB scenario, perhaps it's because it was not entirely his fault and that both of them combine made this happen. Like she said, they were wild and untamed. Jealous rage, obsession, and desire for need always result in a negative outcome. She now feels remorseful and needs to regain that self love. Rihanna still does not realize that the scars will stay forever and the best thing she can do for CB is let him go. Other men in her life here on will now realize that they can never replace CB and will never give her the extra love that she so desires. Perhaps her Gran gran should have told her to forgive but never to forget. Still she puts CB on the same pedestal as her dad, honoring men who basically can abuse women and get respected for it. It's easy to change old rags for new ones but they are still rags. Her dad's and CB hands may appear change but they are still unclean. A recovering addict will always be an addict and so will the abuser. With all said, the best thing she can do now is to teach her brothers the right thing so they too do not make victims of others or of themselves. You cannot teach an old dog new tricks, but you can nurture and groom the pups. She should be grateful and proud!

    • lilly

well now that this interview is Finish people have a lot more respect and love for our girl rih rih (which I'm really happy about)
I can't wait for the Next Album and era I feel rihanna is going to take us to a whole new world. I'm so excited about it!

    • wrapping up

a "here and now". i dunno what this interview changed. it's all like before. she still a bit crazy outside. her usual biz. music and stuff. the cb saga didn't change much. inside she still love him she'll obivously never get over that. maybe if the get together and she's hit the second time. outside she will stay single for some more time, waiting for that something to happen maybe. maybe she'd start seeing other guys. but it's just "f*ck meat". cause "how to love a woman that loves somebody else". as a dude. i'm not convinced. the fuck yeah. but else. what's it?

      now leaving…

    • panhumbly

For those of you who have never been abused might find it difficult to comprehend. I agree that they are some things that she should have kept for personal reasons, but thats why i love my Riri always so real,,,no edit button. What u see is what u get. She is just being herself against all odds. Navy please follow me on twitter @mambo06. Peace!

    • Helena:)

I cried and cried and cried. I was a HUGE fan before this interview but now I just care about her, like a person, not a superstar. I just love you, RIhanna. You just do it in your own way and that's why I love you so much. RIHANNA NAVY FOR LIFE!!

    • Disney23

Rihanna is messed up in the head!

      • Bodacious

A lot of people are just really confused by me; they don’t know what to think of me, so they try to compartmentalize me or diminish me. Maybe they just feel unsafe. But any time you have an overtly emotional or irrational, negative reaction to something, you’re fearing something that it’s bringing up in you.

        • Oy Vey!

Stop plagiarizing. If you quote someone else's words, use quotation marks.

          • wow

You might be asking alot of bodacious.

    • Veronica

Rihanna herself saidd she is a work in process,I think she’s made it pretty clear that she doesn’t thrive to be perfect and i agree with lilly people have seen a different, vulnerable sweet Rihanna, she is her own person not a programmed robot..

    • Veronica

    • rocky roll

She was down to earth, honest and beautiful. Great Interview. She didn't say what she "felt" people wanted her to say – she said exactly how she "felt". Good for her.

    • lilly

Rihanna Navy we have 4 more days left to vote for the VMA'S! lets keep voting even harder! http://www.mtv.com/ontv/vma/2012/best-pop-video/

    • Constanza

u are amazing, you are my inspiration every day, believe in god, he and grangrandolly will be your guide, love u <3

    • Cannon

Rihanna is clearly a bimbo. What girl says she is still in love with her abuser far less another woman man? She has got the brain of fish, saturated and obviously salt. CB now holds all the power to be a bigger abuser than her ever was and she may as well make her next tattoo "STUPID ME". Just to admit how she feels not only publicly, but to a woman like Oprah only precludes what a dumb arse Biatch she really is…CB must be laughing all the way to the bank right now. Like mother like daughter…poor things. P.S: was that her mother or nini? Hahahahahaha!!!!!!!

      • petula

Some are born great. Some (Rihanna) have greatness thrust upon them.

    • Rihanna'sBitch

wait did she just say that she's filming a comedy??!!! o.0

      • Mat

She said she filmed a comedy for 4days in New Orleans while her grandma was at hospital and she came back to NYC to spend time with Gran Gran :).

    • SOSMANDOWN

      Hi ri-exy!

    • Cienne

I appreciated this interview by Oprah on Oprah’s Next Chapter. Although there were many sad recollections by Rihanna, I think it was good for her to discuss it all, once and for all with Oprah. I especially enjoyed the surprise ending where she bought her mother a house. I’m glad my Dish coworker suggested this interview which is why I was sure to record it on my Hopper. I was especially pleased, that I was able to watch the recording in several rooms, picking up where I left off when I switched TV’s. This was so convenient and saved me a ton of time!

    • arianna

hi everybody!!! i think that this interview is great riri is complitely herself ………..RI i love you so so much!! KISS

    • Phil

It's very sad what Rihanna is dealing with and unfortunately she has no clue how to seek what's right from wrong. She can be clinically classified as an ill patient and what she really need to focus on is admitting herself into rehab. No amount of work, play, or distortions can make her abusive experiences right or go away. She has obviously been a product of an abusive childhood and now as an adult. There is no right direction for her unless she deals with this trauma. The millions of $$$ should facilitate her clinical treatment and the friends she surrounds herself with should encourage her to do so and especially her navy fans which she so much relies on. Instead they support her actions even if they are polluted and misguided which is not the right kind of support. To encourage that it's ok to announce your likes still for your abuser is the first signs of an ill patient. She obviously encouraged the same as a child according to her interview. When she says that although her father abused her mother, she recognized him to be the greatest father, which is the same way she probably sees her abuser. The damage to rihanna is very clear with her compulsive behavior, hoping that what haunts will just go away. I hope that oprah would have encouraged her to seek treatment and not just make millions off her like those who encourages her to continue in the direction she going. Rihanna can succeed even more if she gets the right help, take an honest break and deal with her personal ghosts.

      • petula

Well said Phil even though the selfish and naive, starstruck enablers will disagree with you.

I've been a navy ever since rihanna released rated r because it was then that I got to know the real her, I felt like I could relate and that I got what I saw. It felt real and it still does. After this interview I feel even more of a navy. Feels like Rihanna really achieved her goal of proving she's one of us; just look at how honest and normal she is in this interview. She is the real her and I love that. I can also relate to how she feels about her ex because you just never get over that one true love, no matter how it ended. It's sad and I really felt for her; shed a couple of tears. Funny coincidence is that I cut my hair like hers just recently and now I love my haircut even more lol.

    • ProudNavy

Love her even more after this interview. Impossible don't love that WOMAN!!!

    • mona king

Amazingly beautiful. Barbados loves Rihanna and we always knew she was a home girl. Beautiful ending to interview that sound is my favorite
