Rihanna has revealed that she will be performing at The Grammy Awards 2012 with UK rockers Coldplay.

The Bajan babe took to Twitter to make the announcement, stating that she will join Chris Martin and Co for a special performance of their Mylo Xyloto collaboration, Princess of China, at the ceremony next month.

RiRi tweeted: “My friends @ColdPlay and I will be sharing the stage for a performance at this years Annual Grammy Awards!” The You Da One singer later added: “WE reached 2BILLION views on @youtube !!! THANK U!!! I’m in a great mood, and I got some GREAT NEWS!!! PRINCESS OF CHINA #GRAMMYS2012.”

As well as their planned performance at the Grammys, the 23-year old and Coldplay are also allegedly taking to the stage together at The Brit Awards on 21st February at London’s O2 Arena.

Adele – who is confirmed to play The Brits – is also rumoured to perform at The Grammys, making her return to the stage since having surgery on her throat.

The 54th Grammy Awards hit the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on 12th February, and will be hosted by rapper LL Cool J.

Cold Play will drown out her nasal non singing ass. She need Jesus and some self respect. YDA is a flop no one want to hear that foolishness . NAACP don’t recognize her b/c they only give props to Blac talent and they dont like she aint American. They don’t feel her skanky ass has the right image. She nasty and on top of that chic got no talent or class. Gaga will open and close the ceremonies why b/c she talented.

    26. PLEASE READ THIS NAVY. THE QUEEN NEEDS OUR HELP.

IF WE FOUND LOVE IS #1 FOR ONE MORE WEEK, IT WILL OFFICIALLY BE THE LONGEST #1 BY A SOLO FEMALE ARTIST SINCE MARIAH CAREYS WE BELONG TOGETHER. THAT WAS #1 FOR 14 WEEKS AND THIS WOULD BE the RUNNER UP AT 11 WEEKS. RIGHT NOW IT'S IN ITS 10TH WEEK WHICH IS AMAZING, BUT THAT'S TIED WITH BEYONCE'S IRREPLACEABLE. WE JUST NEED 1 MORE WEEK AT #1 AND IT WILL OFFICIALLY BE THE LONGEST #1 BY A FEMALE SINCE WE BELONG TOGETHER.

SECONDLY SHE WILL BREAK ANOTHER RECORD. LONGEST #1 BY A BLACK FEMALE SOLO ARTIST THIS MILLENNIUM. AS I SAID BEFORE, BECAUSE IT'S IN ITS 10TH WEEK THE RECORD IS CURRENTLY TIED WITH IRREPLACEABLE. ONE MORE WEEK AT #1, BRINGING IT TO 11 WEEKS, AND IT'S OFFICIALLY RIHANNA'S RECORD. SHE WILL BE THE ONLY BLACK FEMALE TO HAVE A #1 THAT LONG THIS MILLENNIUM. WE DONT WANT A TIE THE RECORD NEEDS TO BE COMPLETELY THE QUEEN'S.

ALL WE NEED IS 1 MORE WEEK AT #1 . WE'RE TOO CLOSE TO THIS ACHIEVEMENT SLIP. PLEASE REQUEST AND BUY LIKE CRAZY FOR JUST ONE MORE WEEK. ADELE IS HUGE COMPETITION AND I WOULD HATE TO SEE THIS AMAZING ACCOMPLISHMENT NOT HAPPEN BECAUSE WE ARE SO CLOSE. JUST ONE MORE WEEK! LET'S GO NAVY! LET'S MAKE RIHANNA MAKE HISTORY!

    27. What a smart way to bring that up, the lovely site admins seem to flag any and all posts with CB mentioned. And yes, this is her way of thanking fans for everything they've done for her the last 3 years. Stupid in love, after everything. It's just sad, any way you cut it.

And you're right… Tina would have some pearls of wisdom for her stupid ass. We're well on our way to the next OJ Simpson trial with an all new cast.

    29. It's honestly the best work either has done in their respective careers. It's a powerful song. If anything is going to give WFL a run for it's money this year, it's this. And now it's got the best promo money can buy.

      Comment by Truth Teller — January 19, 2012 @ 7:40 pm

    30. NAACP isn't in the business of supporting strong black woman, you shoulnd't be surprised. She's not the first. I could see them giving CB an award though.

      Comment by Truth Teller — January 19, 2012 @ 7:42 pm

    31. Because Rihanna isn't desperate for every single to be a hit like Katy Perry. She's fine with a top 20 single… She doesn't need to remix it with a rap feature, discount it on itunes, release a video teaser, release an actual video, release an acoustic version, pay off radio stations for early plays, and beg fans for a download day.

POH is a much better song, it deserves to see the light of day as a single, and this is the best promo it could have for it's debut.

      Comment by Truth Teller — January 19, 2012 @ 9:16 pm

    32. no she need to perform something new WFL 10 weeks at #1 is good enough…………she need a song that people didnt hear yet like farewell or drunk on love to get people to discover those song on the cd. Grammy=sales

      Comment by kdog — January 19, 2012 @ 10:28 pm

    33. I agree. POC will also broaden Rihanna's fanbase because it will appeal to an Adult Contemporary audience. The same people who buy Adele's album like crazy. To solidify her credibility as an artist, Rihanna has to start appealing to more adult audiences. She doesn't have to sell out, but collaborations like POC with Coldplay will definitely benefit her career in the long run. You Da One is a cool song, but the only people who will listen to it are the people who already listen to her.

      Comment by LL2 — January 19, 2012 @ 11:15 pm

    34. Appealing to adult audiences has also played a major role in Beyonce's success as an artist. Older women like Michelle Obama love her. I don't hear women that age talking about how much they love Rihanna. Rihanna needs to start reaching that age group. Older people are more likely to buy albums because they did not grow up with itunes and ipods.

      Comment by LL2 — January 19, 2012 @ 11:20 pm

    35. good point about ydo. poc rocket's cause of navy buying coldplay not the other way and those guys listening to coldplay will not necessarily like her music. ;)

      Comment by faceit — January 19, 2012 @ 11:42 pm

    36. They don't buy her music now. What does Rihanna have to lose? Why not try to broaden her fanbase and sell more albums? They don't buy singles, they buy albums. POC is already getting already airplay on Adult Contemporary stations according to Billboard.Com and Coldplay has not released the single. They might not like her entire album, but if they like one of her songs, they are more likely to give her other songs a chance, rather then if they don't like any of her songs. Like I stated in my other comment, part of Beyonce success is that she appeals to teens as well as older women like Michelle Obama and Oprah who rave about her. I don't hear many woman that age rave about Rihanna. Adults are in charge, if Rihanna wants to solidify her longevity as an artist, she has to evolve into artist that does more than make music for teens.

    37. What a great reply. 100% on point. Thanks for the further insight.

    38. They could easily be in the top ten at the same time. Both showed strong sales when they weren't even officially released. She has a lot of music out right now, 5 commercial singles once Princess officially debuts in Feb. Take Care is also climbing the charts again. She'll be up against a lot of her own music in the months to come. Im curious which song will take the crown.

    43. i dont really care for that award they are one of the reason why there are soo many black stereotypes. they want to fit black people in this little neat, proper, high brow, stuck up nose box and i hate that. Its sad that they dont celebrate the diversity/individuality of Black people based on their influence/accomplishments but instead they base their awards on how 'black' or what "black' thing that a famous Black person has done. If you kinda get what i mean.
