Rihanna attends a funeral service in Barbados

Breaking from her UK tour efforts to pay respects to a loved one, Rihanna flew into her homeland of Barbados early Saturday morning (October 8) to attend a funeral service.

She was dressed in an all-black ensemble as she joined friends and family including her mother, Monica Fenty, for the farewell ceremony.

Rihanna paid a tribute to one her best friend’s father.

that is not the funeral she went to ..she went to Leandra's dad funeral he died on Sept 24 he was buried today in St. Lucy

I think it was really CLASSY OF RIHANNA to take time out of her busy schedule to attend this funeral service in Barbados, especially considering she was all the way across the country on tour. I'm sure the family of the deceased and the citizens of Barbados really appreciated her for showing up. BIG UPS RIH!!!!

    When I posted the comment I didn't know it was Leandras' father funeral. The narrative under the picture said it was a 103 year old resident from Barbados. I assumed she was just paying her respects to an elder citizen who she knew, from her country.
    
    However, I still think it was CLASSY AND VERY RESPECTFUL of her to break from HER VERY HECTIC SCHEDULE AND FLY ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO ATTEND A FUNERAL. Not everyone would have done that!!!! AND I'M GLAD SHE DID.
    
    And I know it meant a lot to Leandra knowing that both RIHANNA and MELISSA were there for her.

      so true she is a true friend…i am not sure what was wwrong with Leandra i am guessing the death of her dad as i was sick when my lil sis died, 13 years and it still hurts today

    i agree with you…it was the right thing to do. However, she is very busy and she didn't have to show up, so I will definitely give her kudos for that. It just goes to show that ppl judge you but from her action, it shows that she is a genuine person and a true friend.

omg so she clearly did not come in to attend this lady's funeral, because the lady's funeral as stated above was on Friday(yesterday 7th) and it also says that rihanna came in the morning (Saturday 8th), so how did she come in to attend this lady's funeral , if the funeral was the day before she came in,lol sooooooooooo funny.
