    Rihanna Wax Figure Unveiled In London Madame Tussauds
    Posted by on 10:25am in

    A new wax figure of Rihanna was unveiled in London’s Madame Tussauds today (October 3). The waxwork was based on the outfit the 23-year-old singer wore during a performance on The X Factor last year, where she sang alongside winner Matt Cardle.

    The figure took four months to create and cost a staggering £150,000. Madame Tussauds spokesperson Liz Edwards, said of the new waxwork: “We are sure she will hit the right note with our guests as demand for her figure has been huge since her appearance on The X Factor 2010.”

      where did rihanna say her definition of c-u-n-t ? did i miss something??

      • LilMsSunshine

        @saraaa

        She talks about the word C-U-N-T (the necklace) in the new Vogue Magazine. I don't know how detail she gets, but I'm glad she a least addressed the issue, so people can move on and find something else to talk about.

        • saraaa

          okay thank you :)

          CUNT is not a flattering word as per Bajan people. It's quite an insult, and to women especially. This is how Bajan men and women see each other when they cannot get their way with each other. It's used in the most derogatory way possible and Rihanna should not be proud of that. It shows how cheap and low she is and how she could never be a role model for the women of Barbados. A GIRL who can walk around with such a word on her chest says exactly what she is about. Whatever comes to her is well deserved. GOOD GIRL GONE BAD!!!!

            @Kat

            First let me start off by saying that I don't have a CUNT NECKLACE. I didn't even know they made them. RIHANNA's was the first one I'd ever seen. I don't know if she had it made or found it in a jewelry store. But when I did see it, I THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT!!! And maybe I'm a lot more liberal than most folks, maybe. But I wasn't offended in the least. And when I was visiting another website and they were discussing her necklace, and certain people were ANGRY AT RIHANNA for wearing the CUNT word around her neck, I had to log in and voice my opinion. Which I sometimes do.

            RIHANNA's "CUNT" NECKLACE IS NO DIFFERERNT THAN THE "BITCH" NECKLACE that a lot of black women, and some others, use to wear about ten years ago. (And some women still wear those "BITCH" necklaces today). And yes I am a black woman , so this is not an attack on African American women.

            And no, I did not have a "BITCH NECKLACE" either. And when I saw women wearing those necklaces, I didn't think twice about those necklaces either.

            Now back to the CUNT word. When I grew up the word CUNT was nothing more than a slang word for VAGINA. Just like PUS__Y, Twatt, KIDDY CAT, etc. I don't know if the word cunt has the same meaning in Barbados, but If RIHANNA WANTS TO CALL HERSELF A VAGINA, who cares. I'm sure her CUNT NECKLACE is just something TRENDY, SOMETHING COOL TO WEAR around your neck. And besides, she's a grown woman and if she want's to call herself a VAGINA, I don't care. (Maybe she's saying that's what she likes…who knows!!!)

            Personally, I'm a lot more concerned about her HEALTH, about her MAKING GOOD DECISIONS, about her having the BEST PEOPLE AROUND HER, to help guide her career in the right direction, than a little gold necklace she wears around her neck.

            But I understand your point. I just want people to understand that this a big world we live in. And EVERYBODY IS DIFFERENT, AND EVERYBODY SEE'S THINGS DIFFERENTLY. And sometimes we need to take a step backwards, before criticizing something that someone else is doing or saying, just because we find it offensive or we don't understand it.

              Agree that RiRi is a grown woman, and can choose whatever she wants to wear, but when you represent a country as an ambassador and present yourself for young girls as a role model, then your appearance and what you wear should be more discretionary. I have a young girl and she adores RiRi and when I had to explain why she wears CUNT around her neck, it became a different scenario. You see, not all young girls are prepared for such language or "ARTIST" expression, and while it's these young girls buying her music, contributing to her success, RiRi should take a step backwards too and put herself in their shoes. Fame does not give you the reason to demoralize oneself and especially the women and young girls who adores her. She needs to grow up by now. The badass image is so not becoming anymore.

                @Kat

                Point well taken.
                However, I do have a question. Did your little girl ASK YOU ABOUT the word C-U-N-T , that was written on RIHANNA's NECKLACE, or did you bring it to her attention???? And how did you "explain" the necklace??? (Just curious).

                • Kat

                  My little girl is just about to turn 12yrs. She did bring it to my attention even though she's heard it before. We are also from Barbados, but not all of us are raised the same, nor use the same vocabulary as RiRi. When she saw RiRi wearing it, she approached me and ask why would RiRi wear that word? I did explain that RiRi is still trying to fit in, in an industry where one feels they have to belittle themselves to fit in, but she will soon find her way. My girl said that RiRi does not need to do that because she is pretty and that word makes her ugly. I said yes that's true and left it as that. I do encourage my girl to strive for the best in life and never sacrifice who you are or where you come from, and that respect will come to those who earn it.

                    @Kat

                    Thank you for the response. And I totally understand your position. With you being from Barbados and raising a teenage daughter, who admires RIHANNA, I can see your dilemma. I can see how this issue is kind of personal for you.
                    I GET IT!!!!

                    And I'm speaking from an adults perspective, and viewing this situation through the eyes of a very liberal adult. So I hope you can understand why I wasn't offended by the CUNT NECKLACE. (Your responsibilities are totally different than mine.)

                    And, as far as RiHANNA being a role model, that's a tough call !!! RiHANNA has said it more than once, SHE DOES NOT WANT TO BE A ROLE MODEL. ( Not right now anyway. ) And what can you do???? I think not wanting to be a role model is RIHANNA's way of saying I'M DOING SOME THINGS RIGHT NOW IN MY LIFE, THAT LITTLE GIRLS SHOULD NOT EMULATE.

                    I't's kind of like she's caught between a rock and a hard place!!!!! Yes, there are certain things that are expected of her, especially by the citizens of Barbados, but she's also trying to live her life. Just trying to be happy.

                    The role model status is a real hard position to be in.

                    But either way, I do like the explanation you gave to your daughter regarding the now INFAMOUS CUNT NECKLACE. You were definitely on point, and I hope your daughter totally understood what you telling her.

                    PEACE
