Sometimes the DJ play what the hell they want. I req Cheers every hour on my local stations and most of the time they play "FLY" instead. I notice they mostly play "Cheers" on the weekend. I'll keep req it will not stop me.

From the looks of it; there will be no promo in the US so we just have to deal with it. I don't see why the Navy can't get Cheers to #1 without any promo from Rihanna. Katy fans got all her songs to #1 how much promo she did; not much. The Navy is large in number so why can't we accomplish this?

Because not everybody has money pouring out their asses to repeatedly buy a song they already have. And, Katy single's are more radio friendly. Radios will play her song whether ppl are requesting them or not. I always say fans need to stop being so demanding of Rihanna; but, it goes both ways, too. We can't do it all and at time, I think that is what they expect. I want to be optimistic about Cheers but it is slowing down on radio and that #1 isn't looking likely. Again, not the end of the road. Not many singers promote 7th singles. If Rihanna wanted this single to be #1 that bad, she would be doing something to help it. It has done well thus far away. I will never understand why a single can't be seen as a success unless it goes #1.

Exactly. If a DJ like a song, they will keep playing regardless of if ppl are requesting it. I use to request cheers all the time on the station I listen to and I never heard the song, no even on the weekends. But, yet that same station play Otis, She ain't You, How to love and best thing I never had every hour on the hour. It is annoying.

Navy did you know Taylor Swift tour already gross 48 mil. The tour will end next year March; I can just imagine how amazing the #s will be at the end of the tour.
