Rihanna is fast approaching her 23rd birthday! We are going to create a brand new Birthday Project that you can be apart off! We want you to get wild with this one!

What you can send:
1. RIHANNA MEMORIES: Write in max 320 signs your early Rihanna memory – how did you found out about her, what made you a fan, first encounter, something special that made you RihannaNavy member. It could be the first time you heard her song on the radio, the first show you’ve been to first time you met her.
2. FAN PHOTOS: Send us your photo holding some “Happy Birthday Rihanna!” note – it would be the best if it includes your fan collection and some special gadget representing your country (like a flag). Send a pic of your pet if you don’t want to be featured but it should include Happy BDay card. Anything fancy like a “home made” birthday cake would be amazing as well. Try to be original. Would love to see your pics in red wigs as well! The best photos will be placed on the top of the page.
E-mail us with uploaded image (no attachments) – use websites like plixi, twitpic, tinypic etc.
3. FAN VIDEOS: Send us your fan made videos where you send Rihanna your birthday wish message. It can be just a recording of you sending your message to Rihanna, it could be a fan made video to one of Rihanna’s songs. Something funny! Like a recording from a party threw for Rihanna. Again, be original. The best videos will be highlighted.
E-mail us with direct link to youtube.
4. DRAWINGS: Draw Rihanna as a party animal. How would you imagine her with a birthday cake etc. Something cute something funny and birthday related.

It's an interesting article. The song itself wasn't flagged as being explicit until the video came out. And the video itself is no worse than other videos out there. There are 3 seconds in the video that could be considered provocative and according to Rihanna MTV approved the video ahead of time. But she is more covered up that she usually is when people don't complain. RocNation or DefJam need to stand up and say something. There is definitely a double standard here. The funny thing is that all of this just proves her point about her relationship with the media. They do and say whatever they want without thinking about precedent.

I think the navy is in slumber mode because RiRi isn't giving them anything to be excited about. I don't undersatnd the constant hide and seek game she's playing this era along with the senseless banter on twitter. She needs to appear more serious and WANTING the success to get her fans pumped up and excited! What's with her not being out and about promoting the album? What is her plan this go-round? She seems scatterbrained and not focused on important things.
I love Rihanna, but I hate to say her new music video didn't do it for me. Would have loved for her to do a more coherent video than this. And the banana scene was soooo fu**ing uncalled for. To me she ruined a PERFECT song with a bizarre and simply what-the-hell? video.

Everybody has their own tastes, so its okay if you don't like it. I don't like everything Rihanna does either. However, Rihanna has always been provocative, so I don't understand why people are surprised. She was nude in her Umbrella video and wore dominatrix outfits during her Good Girl Gone Bad Tour. She hasn't really changed, she is just older and therefore can get away with being sexier. Rihanna hasn't changed that much, this is who she has always been to some extent. That's is one reason I like Rihanna, she has always been authentic and does not pretend to be something she is not.

… and together with RihannaNews_com we've changed the bday project a little so it will be easier to understand for everyone (u may just read the summary part). Hopefully everyone will get the idea. We just want to make a mini website when we will feature EVERYTHING Rihanna fans would like to send Rihanna for her bday. Thats why we need direct links so we could just post everything easily without uploading. @LL2, I agree with you when you say she has always been provocative; and truth is that is part of the reason I adore her. I just love her for her realness, uniqueness, style, and music through the years. I'm her fan as well and have also seen her in concerts, seen all her music videos, but my point is she has always been VERY sexy but also manages to be subtle and confined at the same time.(e.g AMA's and X-factor performances 2010-that is the Rihanna I know/love) She gives you just enough and leaves the rest to your imagination or interpretation but never outright in your face. (do you get what I mean?) Never have I seen RiRi so runchy, crude, lowbudget and to be real honest(though I hate to say it) SLUTISH and portraying a persona that IS NOT HER. Ever heard of the phrase "less is more?"
I'm cheering for riri; I just don't want her going too far to the deep end and to the point of no return. She has to tame it a little, keep it sexy, cute, simple and classy (like she has always done in the past) *and I'm saying all of this with LOVE*

Oh, I didn't think that you were hating on her, that's why I said I don't like everything she does either. I'm sure she will be less sexually provocative in her next video. I know you are concerned about her but I like to think that as she matures she will naturally slow things down.
