Nicki Minaj talks about “Fly” feat. Rihanna

Nicki Minaj and Rihanna have collaborated on a song called “Fly” (which will be on Nicki’s first album). She wrote:

“FLY is one of my absolute faves. I wanted to work with Rihanna for a long time. I’m very proud of her accomplishments ; especially since she was born on an island like me. This song is a female empowerment song. But then again, its not specific to just women. It speaks about flying, soaring high… in the face of every single solitary adversity that comes your way. I speak about how the media has attempted to box me in and how that has made me feel suffocated. After years of being dragged thru the mud, I’ve mustered up the courage to re-define myself. I believe that I represent an entire generation. My fans have become my family ; and together we have become a movement. Get ready for it. We came to win.”

Rihanna was smart to collaborate w/ two of the hottest acts in R&B, crossover artists Drake and Nicki. I am glad she didn't do anything with Gaga b/c Gaga has not sustained on the charts. she's gonna ben another hot when she's on and not when she's not. LOL Rihanna 's heart stays on high!

I just saw the US commercial for LOUD on mtv and it's just ripped pieces of only girl video unlike the UK commecial which had new shots and scenes and stuff and was longer.. No fair :/ oh well still buying 6copiess..

Loud is number 11 on iTunes!!! That's pretty good! As her fans/stans we will buy the CD but the rest is up to Rih! She has to be vocally perfect at every appearance this week!!! I'm really worried about her especially for the AMAs! She needs to bring her A game every time!!! Many people are releasing albums on the 16th, from Bruce Springsteen to Kid Rock to Pink! These pple can push numbers and she needs to push more than them! At least gold! I'm tired of her being labeled a singles artists! She needs to make people believe she's not some gimmick and can put on a great show! I'm rooting for u Rih! I already pre-ordered my album and my deluxe edition has shipped!
