@Bajan Jigga, I agree with you man. If Ri is really performing tonight its because she is doing it for Em. Ri is a very loyal person and I know that she wants to be there to support him.
If Ri is opening with Em and then closing the show, it is because MTV has finally come their senses and realized that they made a HUGE mistake by snubbing her and are now trying to make things right with her.
I made a comment a while back that come this round all those people who were hating on Ri during Rated R would be lining up to kiss her sweet A$$. That line has already begun….

Hey guys, i'm off to the VMA's. I told Rihanna's Navy a couple of nights ago she was heading back to LA. Matt is on his way back to LA and should be at the VMA's as long as there were no delays. He gains 2 hours coming back to LA. He has a day off Monday and then travels to San Francisco Tuesday.
You guys keep in mind there is a reason for everything. This is the nature of the entertainment field. The movie gets publicity for Rihanna being at the VMA's, Rihanna gets ink for her new song and album, MTV gets more buzz with speculation, and Em gets the biggest night ever.
OK, before i go, i don't know exactly what will happen tonight……but don't be surprised if Eminem opens the show with "Not Afraid", and then the show closes with Rihanna and Eminem. I also heard the little turd may open the show. This is just speculation on my part. My guess is the reason MTV backed off from Rihanna was to keep it a surprise after she said she couldn't make it. If Eminem opens the show with "Not Afraid", well, most people won't realize that he can also close the show with Rihanna. Closing the show with "Love the Way You Lie" gives MTV an epic ending. Anyways, let's all hope some of this happens. I can tell you this……all this buzz about who's doing what, or if/what Rihanna will do is taking the spotlight off of Lady GaGa's record 13 nominations. It's now 4:25pm LA time and i gotta get my azz over there. Mahalo and Aloha.
Disclaimer: I have NOT seen Rihanna in person in LA these last two days. I was told by a contact in Maui that she was given some time off. I was also told she is in fact in L.A. I was NOT told she was attending the VMA's. But IF she is in LA, which i presume, she HAS to attend given the fact that she previously said she couldn't attend because of the movie priorities. So, put 2 + 2 together and you get an epic evening.

Hi Jigga, I totally understand. My uncle died of cancer about 2 years ago and our entire family was by his side until the very end. It certainly puts things in perspective when you're watching someone passed onto the next life. I wish you and your family the best. Stay strong and always remember your aunt as she was when healthy because I know it is hard to put the cancer images of her out of mind. Remember LOVE is a powerfuly thing, baby.xD
