Shontelle has revealed that she has been in the recording studio with Rihanna. The ‘T-Shirt’ singer is currently gearing up for the UK release of her new track ‘Impossible’, the lead single from her second album No Gravity. In an interview with Digital Spy, the 23-year-old put rumours of a rivalry with her fellow Barbadian star to rest.
“People want to make us enemies so bad and we just laugh about it because we’re like ‘I don’t get it’,” she said. “We are two girls from Barbados who are just so excited about the fact that we come from this small island that so many people didn’t even know existed until Rihanna broke out.” She continued: “Now we recently made history where we had two artists from Barbados in the top ten at the same time – and that has never happened ever in history, not even from any country outside the US. So we’re so excited that our little island is making such great waves, you know. I mean we just love it and we’ve recently been in the studio together and we just keep laughing like ‘Wow, we’re rivals but yet we’re working together’.”
However, Shontelle remained coy when asked what the pair were working on.
“This is where I get to tease you now!” she laughed. “Yeah, recently I’ve been in the studio with Rihanna and we have some fun stuff that we’re working on and we’ll definitely be giving you guys some further details at a later date.” She added: “Hopefully that should relax anyone that thinks that we are some sort of rivals.”

Ri looks real cute in it but I prefer the original verison by Allison Hinds because it has a very powerful message for women (old and young alike). Qui, believe me when I tell you she has not lost her accent. That is just for show afterall you want people to understand you. I have a good friend who is Jamaican and if you met her for the first time you would never know. The first time I went to her house and we were hanging out with her family, I could not believe it was the same person speaking to me. I could not understand one word they were speaking. It totally blew me away. In public she will loose the accent but in private a totally different story. This is something I have noticed with many people from the Caribbean. I am from Trinidad and I attended Catholic school. When I speak most people think I'm English but I too have noticed that when I'm with my peeps I speak with more of a Trini accent, lol.

I went university with shontelle, she never really had an accent, I don’t particularly like her as a person she is very phony to me, but her music is ok. Very hit and miss.
I however wish her every success.
As I mentioned before
She and Ri did a remix of Unfaithful and recorded “hotness” in addition to working on “roll”
But she claims to be the bajan queen but she is not!!!

Hey MDD2 thanks for making my day sweetheart, i have bern trying to program a universal remote control box to the great room tv and i can not do it to save me from getting hot. so its a good thing that tv's are all over the place i will just buy another remote control. its the little things in life that makes the difference in our lives, yep tonigh and then two more performances and our "queen" can rest a little as she journeys along on her next "career move" this is going to be huge. and you remember to mdd2 as you journey along well all of us we need to remember that god has us and everything is going to be all right.

@ MDD2 ,, i was just thinking about all that rih has had to endure and it was not her fault, she has carried the burden of a relationship with a clown and god bought her through and that is the same way that god is going to bring all of us through. even though we are not in the industry we still have to go through things. but remember to stay strong and keep god in it and things will always work out for the best for all of us. i have paid close attention to the things that the trolls do and each and every time they do their dirty deeds rih seems to come out smelling like a rose and that my extended family member mdd2 is telling us just how great god really is. i did not mean to be rambbling on and on forgive me i just needed to vent a little ,,, thanks for coming through and sharing your uplifting comment, thanks.
