Shows in Dallas and Phoenix cancelled

Bad news for Rihanna fans in Texas and Arizona. Two of her US shows were just cancelled – Phoenix and Dallas. We don’t know the reason behind this but I’m sure Rihanna will make it up to you. This isn’t yet a closed list of Rihanna’s shows. If you have already purchased tickets for these venues contact LiveNation.

If you don’t have tickets for this tour yet don’t wait! The tour was named a “must see” event in 2010 by USA Today!

And no, it’s not because the tour isn’t selling! Don’t believe gossip sites who doesn’t support her and wants her to fail. If you will check LiveNation site you will see most of the seats are already taken. Also we hear more artists were forced to cancel shows in these two cities. Weird.

Phoenix is in Arizona, not Texas :p So why two of three shows in this state?

It’s because the law (in Phoenix) Pitbull and Lilith Fair cancelled their shows there too!
The new venue in Tucson (new for Phoenix) is way smaller then the one in Phoenix, just btw.
Some sites are saying, she sold way too less tickets.

The AZ concerts were never going to come off. There is an artist protest going on and one of the artist at the forefront of the protest against AZ new immigration laws is Kanye.

Rihanna would not have a concert in Phoenix while this shit is going on.Tucson is on Indian land is politically not considered AZ and thus the switch is just to make it up as far as they can to the fans.

The Dallas date was added only last month as and after thought and may not have been selling fast enough. A few of the Texas fans had complained she was doing Huston but not Dallas and they may have added the date to see how much interest was being generated only to find out there was not enough to keep the new date.

Thanx Bod, . . . about the charities. I was thinking about them, especially Rih’s BELIEVE FOUNDATION. My thoughts were that Rih is such a kindhearted, caring and concerned celebrity. She gives back and not just take, take, take. She is an activist just like President Obama (community activist) has been.

How many artists out there are big in there talent, making a lot of money but still gives back. I ended with thinking that I would especially like info on who they are so I know i’m contributing to ppl. who give back like Rih Rih.

Yes, Rih’s level of consciousness is such that she will protest and boycott entities who r against human and civil rights and be politically correct. Boycotting Phoenix, I support with Rih and any other place not yet mentioned that may welll be. Instead, I hope she and her ppl. would put other cities on the card for shows that are not trying to undermind the President’s agenda and the way he chose to handle the issue/s he deals with.

I think Stupid In Love and CCL show Rih seriously strong vocals but they break my heart to hear them. I think they are masterpiece tracks but I’m not sure about them being singles. It may be left to just enjoy on the album. But, u could feel like she put her heart and soul out on those two songs 4 us, giving insight on things, how things were and I felt her.

Did texas tickets even go on sale? I know it was added late and thought i hadn’t yet….

Anyway, it probably has to do with them having to go all the way out to Tucson. Tours are planned according to when they can get to X date for X. A big production like hers probably couldn’t handle the switch and considering Texas & Phoenix tour dates were like a day apart, TX had to be cancelled.

aww :( i have felt that too, when she was comming to Mexico, Monterrey, i worked really hard at school to get good grades, so my parents would let me go an see Riri live (i live in Veracruz, and the show was going to be presented in Nuevo Leon, which is a little far from my state, so my parents had to pay plane, hotel, and the concert tickets) and i did my part, but Riri didn’t hers :rotfl:

when i was in the hotel and i read the news in internet i was IN TEARS (literally :-| ) i felt so bad, but then i read that it was because of her personal causes, so i had to understand it
i went back to Veracruz, and had to wait to the new date of the concert (the first date was December 1st, 2008 and the new date was january 22th, 2009)

here we go again getting good grades at school, it was SO freaking hard!!! but it was Rihanna and i had to get’em, so i did
and i went to Monterrey at the second date, and there she was… she es the MOST BEAUTIFULPERSON in the WHOLE world, i was at the V.I.P. zone and i could clearly see her shiny green eyes, it was amazing!!!
i hope she could come back, i already did my RIHANNA COME TO MEXICO poster

I know why RiRi isnt peforming in Houston everyone. I had to go into enemy territory to find the info but Lady CaCa will be playing there on July 25th and 26th so she chose San Antonio instead. Which is perfectly fine with me. :-D
