RiRi looks stunning, then again, she could wear a hefty trash bag, be completely bald, and she’d still look stunning. Matt is one lucky basterd.
Eminem is a smart dude, he knows a collab with Rihanna will bring a lot of fans to him that don’t ordinarily listen to his rap. He is also doing 2 shows with Jay-Z. Having said that, Jay-Z and Eminem are the 2 greatest rappers to ever hit vinyl, and i’m a big fan of Eminem as well, this song will skyrocket the charts. Eminem need not worry that his die-hard core fans may accuse him of “getting soft”, they know that Rihanna, although a pop star, is tight with Jay-Z and will ultimately allow Rihanna fans to listen to a pure genius that is Eminem. This is a win-win situation for both camps.

eminem respects the people he disses in his music and in his videos he dissed rihanna on one of his albums and pink as well and now there on his upcoming album, he made fun of MJ in his music video and later on in the years MJ brought His catelogue off music and they become friends. eminem even disses 50 cent and there real close it’s his thing of saying her really respects that artist doesn’t really want to say it in a nice way he likes attecking other artist.

She will be in Spain the 5th but the time difference with LA is i believe 9 hours. Conceivably, she leaves after the show, get’s home, then is able to catch a few innings of the game. She WILL go to the movie awards, her buddy Katy is performing. My hope is the game doesn’t go into extra innings and ends no later than 4pm. I want Rihanna and Matt to walk the red carpet, hand and hand, with paps snapping the crap out of them.

You are not the only one trying to see if Rih will have a chance to go to the Dodger game and the award show after performing and hopping on a plane. It would be cool if she could support both her buddy and her boyfriend. To be honest with you i think she could miss both the game and awards show and neither Katy or Matt would be mad at her. All those two probably want is for Rih return home safely.

Rih is gorgeous right now. Rih got a little sun this weekend. I cannot get over how happy and content she seems to be right now. I am so proud of her for picking up the pieces and moving on with her life. Some of you’ll are saying Rih skipped a performance and went and seen the ex perform in 08. I cannot see Rih doing that in 2010. In two years Rih is older, wiser, and smarter. Back than it seemed like her and the nameless ex had this us against theworld mantality. I got I feeling Rih is closer to her fans now than she was in 08. I am pretty sure Matt will understand Rih not being there Sunday. Rih has three and a half weeks to watch Matt play baseball. Katy will understand because she is a performer and undertands the life Rih has to live.

Because she looked a little tired, but I know she had a great night lying in Matt arms after the charity event was over. Music’s rising star set to shine on South Okanagan

Music superstar Rihanna will be coming to Penticton this summer.
The Barbadian pop-singer, who has delivered several chart-topping songs including Umbrella, Don’t Stop the Music, SOS, and Rude Boy, will play the South Okanagan Events Centre on July 5. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.
With several international and domestic No. 1 songs in the last four years, Rihanna is probably the hottest act Global Spectrum has booked for the SOEC since the building’s opening in 2008.
“We haven’t done really any top 40 music here yet so this has been kind of exciting,” said GS general manager Curtis Webb. “Her numbers are really off the charts right now on concert sales. She has re-created herself so many different ways since 2007 when she really stepped onto the scene. Her music has stayed in the top 40 and I think that is pretty much a testament to her.
“I hope we have a major sellout here by the end of the weekend.”
Webb said that Global has looked at booking several larger more-current popular acts, like Rihanna, as they pass between Vancouver and other nearby cities.
“What we have really been trying to target is those artists that come between Vancouver and Calgary,” he said. “I’ve looked at thousands of acts coming through … But a lot of them just don’t make sense because of the financial aspects of it but (Rihanna) is one of those artists that has sold GM Place out really quick.”
Neither Webb nor the city would disclose how much the city is paying Rihanna to play the SOEC — Global competes with other venues to book acts, explained city clerk Cathy Ingram, so releasing the figure would give competitors an advantage — although the amount is somewhere between the $100,000 Rihanna charges to sit in the audience at fashion shows and the $500,000 she received to sing at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi New Year’s Eve.
“She is very expensive,” said Webb, And so are the tickets, set at $95, $120, $145 and $300.
“To do a deal to get a Rihanna date here and a Rihanna date in Vancouver is the same price, but in Vancouver they have 18,000 seats and we have 5,300 here. So, the difference is that we have to be a little bit more expensive on our ticket prices to bring an act like Rihanna to town,” Webb explained. “But the positive side to that is: you might spend $40 more on a ticket here but you don’t have to drive to Vancouver, and you don’t have to spend money on gas, hotel and the food … Plus, you can walk out of here in five minutes and drive home.”
Webb said that successful shows such as Brooks & Dunn or Alan Jackson, who are handled by the same agency as Rihanna, helped Global Spectrum book her, and that similarly, if Rihanna’s show is a success it will become even easier to attract other big acts to Penticton.
“We are definitely pushing the boundaries on Rihanna but I think that you have to go after some of these artists,” said Webb. “It is a good time of the year, the summer months. July is right in the thick of our summer hot season. It is a perfect fit.
“I’d like to do more of it because that’s why we are here. We just have to keep growing our business … It is on us to market the show and produce the numbers to overcome (Rihanna’s fee).”

I can tell that I read it at atrl forum…
then I looked up in the wikipedia the acts that will sing in the britains got talent semifinals… and yesterday alicia keys performed (and she did coz I just saw the video) and today it is supposed to be rihanna, and tomorrow miley cyrus and the day after lady gaga….
I also looked at the tour schedule and today is the only day possible coz she has the day off before she has to go to turkey….

This week, Billboard magazine focuses on three female artists who have done much, much move the American charts – and just as the charts worldwide, actually. In terms of album sales, the victory is very clear for Beyoncé, which is better than his two rivals combined. His three solo albums, “Dangerously in Love,” “B’Day” and “I Am .. Sasha Fierce” totaled 11.282 million sales – but it was also easier to sell albums in 2003 than in 2008. Rihanna, she advanced in second place with 5,482,000 copies sold of his four albums, “Music Of The Sun”, “A Girl Like Me,” “Good Girl Gone Bad” and “Rated R”. She anticipates Lady GaGa, whose album “The Fame” and “The Fame Monster sales totaled 4.457 million.

However, the classification is very different in terms of sales of digital tracks in the unit. Here is Rihanna who leads, with no fewer than 28 million titles! Lady GaGa is second with 24.4 million, while Beyoncé is content with third place with 23.6 million legal downloads. This time, the reverse is true for Beyoncé: early in his career, digital was significantly less popular today in the United States. The fact arrived on the music scene long before its rivals is not an advantage.
Finally, Billboard recognizes the performance of course also the three singers in his rankings. And the artist who has won the most number one in the Hot 100, ranking of best-selling titles and most broadcast radio, is Rihanna. She has six to his credit. Beyonce and a second with five numbers, while Lady GaGa did “only” two. If we extend the top 10 in the same classification, Beyonce and Rihanna are tied with 14, while Lady GaGa has seven – but it released only seven singles in the U.S..

I also noticed during the time Rude Boy came out the site was so active where it was hardly any dead moments. We were all ready and alert. And I know its the 4th single or whatever and we’ve already heard RS101 a million times by now but if everyone buys it at least once we can get it in the top 100. I’ve bought RS101 3 times already. Do it for RiRi. Once its in the top 100 let the itunes consumers get it and once its close to the top 10 we buy again and once its in the top 10 we let the non stans buy it. But if it starts to drop we have to come for the rescue. What I’m saying is we can’t depend on other people to buy it right now. We are the fans so we have to do most of the grunt work.

Usher has decided that the second single from the new album will be ‘Lil Freak’ the video has recently been released, he is scheduled to perform on Britain’s Got Talent. If he sings this song, it will be a surprise to the public, plus its newly on the radio AND the video will be all over the music channels.. all at once in the space of about 1/2 weeks, which is really quick.
I can guarantee because of doing all this so fast, his single will fly up the charts,
Like i said earlier, Rihanna should have released Te Amo as a single AND a video at the same time, as people will start to get bored of the song by the time the video comes out, obviously us as big fans wont get bored of it, however the less dedicated fans will get bored quickly with such a gap between the song and video.
With Rockstar 101, i believe it is not doing so well in US because of the big gap between the American Idol performance and the video release. If the video and single were released straight after the American Idol performance i believe it would be sky high in the chart by now, however i do have hope left that it will do well over in the US though :-)
If we look at Umbrella, the video & single were released together and was smacked in the publics faces which was amazing and is why it spent 10 weeks at #1 here in the UK. Also it goes the same with Take A Bow which came about suddenly all at once, that hit #1 in the UK too :-)
Im convinced Usher will prove my theory right this week and see his song climb very quickly. If so,
I think Rihanna’s next single ( preferably Fire Bomb! :-D ) should be promoted in this fashion with single & video coming out at the same time so it smacks the public in their faces just like Umbrella & Take A Bow.
I would love to know that this advice was at least looked at by one of Rihanna’s marketers/promoters and see that there is a trend there :-)
I want to see Rihanna get another #1 out of this album!!

whats going on with rihanna’s managing team. they are doing a bad Job it’s like the fans are doing the job for them! she needs to fire her managing team I know rihanna has good relationships with these people but there not managing her like we want her to be manage unless rihanna has control and if she does she better start taking are advice because us fans know whats better for her as an artist and whats not and we all want rihanna to grow to be this POP icon which she almost is but the way it’s going right now I don’t think she can get there.

She’s been away from the US since 2007 (well, it seems like it), but when she gets back it will pick up. Her record company apparently doesn’t understand the concept of timing. Rockstar is supposedly for US audiences, she sings the song on American Idol…..then she leaves the US immediately after. Rockstar is a song that needs to be heavily promoted, it’s not Rude Boy, Hard, or RR. The good thing is she’s coming home in a few days. It should boost the song up. They should have had her do the Te Amo video here then sing it at AI. Then when she would return to the US shoot the Rockstar video and then begin her US tour. The controversy surrounding the Te Amo video would have kept the song strong in the US while she was in Europe.

The Te Amo video could look completely different if they had shot it back in .. *thinking* donno .. before American Idol !! .. :D .. and RS101 was just mentioned to be next single !! .. but Rude Boy was still playing back then !! .. Looking back at it .. the AI performance was a bit of (if not complete) a ‘lesson’ in necessity and timing !! .. Maybe it cut a lil off Rude Boy and off course did nothing for Rockstar !! .. So forget about AI !! ..

Unfortunately she has a concert at Wembly the 6th (which escaped me at the time i mentioned she’ll be at at the awards). It really sucks, her being at the movie awards would do a hell of a lot more promotion wise than singing one or two songs in England at this time. Katy Perry is performing also, Rihanna, please cancel, we need your mug shot on US TV. My god, Rihanna and Matt on the red carpet would probably surpass anything else that happens at the awards. I think i’m gonna vomit. :-(

well she already has been on ellen, and david letterman this year and she was on the jay leno show in september when she performed run this town and she has been on the ryan seacrest show a few times during promo for rated r and the week of the grammy’s.
and she has been on jimmy kimmel in 2006 and thats not really good promo cause not a lot of people watch him.
so best promo would be larry king, ellen show, and Jay Leno, or Latterman doesn’t matter to me.

I hope she can open the show and have justin beiber close the show because thats who these girls are really going to see and JLS girls in london love rihanna but they also like justin beiber plus rihanna opening the show would get the pumped up. and then after she performance, at least 9 songs she can do a quick interivew and change into what she will wear to the red carpet go on a hellocopter to the air port fly out of london it would be an 8 hour flite from london to LA. have the limo waiting for her and matt inside they make out in the car and head to the red carpet being fashiobaley late!! LOL then the photographers are going NUTS!!!!! Absolutely, the paps would have an orgasm. Rihanna proclaimed Matt as her boyfriend, he is not you know who, Rihanna is proud to call Matt her boyfriend, a superstar baseball player as well as a family man. The “attention” would be positive because Rihanna is the happiest since she’s found Matt. They are an “item” in a good way. Unlike Alicia Keys, who steals married men and have their babies, or just about any other artist out there who may have to keep a secret and do things behind the lenses, Rihanna and Matt can proudly walk hand and hand down the red carpet with their heads held high.

It needs to be submitted this month however, because if she is one of about 20 picked (she definately will be), it would be presented in 2011. What i need to know is when did Rihanna officially sign? Was it 2005 or 2006? This is important because she would have to have been signed in 2005 qtr 1 to qualify to be in the next group.
The moderators need to start a petition on this site, have us all check off on it (of course) and then Rihanna can sign it (she has to OK it, lol) and then the nominating committee can then give her the word that her fans gave her the ultimate thank you.
When she does get her ‘Star”, hopefully the next group, or the one after, her star will appear at the Kodak theater…..or, and i’m trying to gather info on where exactly she stood during her “Punk’d appearance, maybe a star on that spot she stood way back when most people never even heard of her. We need to do this for her…….how does one get in contact with Rodrigo/Natalie? to put a link on the page which can then be submitted to Def Jam to start the process?

I have to respecfully disagree with that assessment. With Rihanna walking the red carpet, or anywhere else for that matter, with Matt, it allows her to visually tell the public she now has stability in her personal life. She has a BFF in Melissa, a best buddy celebrity in Katy Perry, and now a man in her life that for the first time has been called a boyfriend. There is no drama here, neither one of them gains anything by keeping their relationship seperate in public. In fact, since the world knows they are boyfriend/girlfriend now, it would put Rihanna back into a negative light to some people do to the fact she never really wanted everyone to know the extent of her relationship with the woman beater, but by being seen with Matt she’s telling the world i am in a happy place in my life right now no matter what happens in the future. Rihanna is not dating a rapper with a harem of women in his stable…..she’s dating a superstar pro baseball player on one of the most storied franchises in sports as well as a guy who is a very family oriented and humble athlete in an age where humble and athlete usually isn’t in the same sentence.

Sorry, but a nominee has to have at least 5 years in that particular catagory, that’s why i asked about the 5 year span. I’v already nominated a couple people already, including the late Dennis Hopper. Thank god he was still around to receive it and see all his fans that came out that day. My only regret is that i completely fotgot the nominees have to be submitted by June to qualify for the following year.
