    the avergae song peaks at 120-130 million if it really popular and Lady antebellum is at 122 million i think now..

     Generally “Record” of the year goes to a released single, a single that became popular, but not necessarily a mega hit. The record companies and individuals submit a claim, then members of the nominating board vote on whether the song is eligible and has enough votes to be entered in a certain catagory, there can only be 5 max. Once the board finalizes the nominations in the particular catagories it then goes to the academy members for the actual vote.
     In Rihanna’s case, RR stands the best chance of being nominated for “Record” and “Song” of the year. “Song of the year is for the writing, this song is deep, whereas “Rude Boy” would never be chosen as song of the year, however, it could garner enough support as “record” of the year. Conceivably, “CCL” could get nominated but highly unlikely. It’s not a popularity contest but academy members are influenced by the general public.
     What i predict will happen is Rihanna will be nominated for “Rude Boy” but not in a major catagory. Maybe something like best female sexual song (LOL).
     I don’t predict any other song from Rated R will be nominated, however, and this is where it gets good….i am willing to bet my house that “Rated R” will be nominated for the big one, Album of the Year.
     The academy members on a whole love what Rihanna did with this album, the chance she took. They love comeback stories, there’s a # 1 single, the album is critically acclaimed by some of the most prestigous reviewers in the country, and the album has legs which will be further manifested thru her tour.
     There are many haters out there, but the actual people who do the voting have no agenda because they take an oath.

     I’m going to be honest.

     I think that if there is another single from Rated R (I hope it is)…. She wont want to sing about that dark state she was in anymore. So…. Photographs, fire bomb, cold case love and the last song are not going to be singles.

     Coz its not just the single… It is having to sing the song live and people asking about it. And remembering all that stuff again and again.

     So the only songs left to be singles are: Rockstar 101 and Te amo.

Those that are opposed to a new album is saying that because 1)they don’t want ppl to forget about Rated R, which would happen with a brand new album; and 2) they feel Rated R hasn’t reached its full potential sale wise.
