This was a parody. JLO, who by the way invited Rihanna to a get together while Rihanna was in Miami for Pepsi to tell her about the show ahead of time, wasn’t trying to copy Rihanna, just giving enough of a look for people to know she was “Rihanna” during the skit. I didn’t hear the actual convo that Rihanna and JLO had in Miami, but i’m certain JLO was just telling Rihanna it was cool and i’m sure Rihanna cracked up. And SNL was right, “WATW” 2 really sucked.
As far as RiRi being the host, well, its a longshot to say the least thanx to the woman beater for reasons too long to explain.
I got the skit when I saw it and it’s true, the remake STUNK, but so did this SKIT. lol The whole show was pretty bad and J.Lo really stunk it up with her performances! What happened to her music? I understand she’s aged & is maybe trying to do adult contemp., but we just saw her at the AMAs (when she fell on her butt), singing about Louboutins & dancing….so what gives? If she MUST sing (& she really never should have started) she should stick to uptempo dance like “Waiting For Tonight”. She was TT on twitter and absolutely savaged for her singing.
Rihanna’s skit was so well-received that I could see them asking her to host down the road. I think people are curious about what she can do as she has good presence and appeared to have a light touch with comedy!
