Hi tracee, i’ve been out most of the day. Just came back from surfing the central coast, long drive back to LA.
I had a blast at the Grammy’s as well as a couple of the after parties. Keep in mind i’m not a singer or musician but in the Film/Tv area of our business which means i don’t spend as much time with the music industry people although i have worked with John Mayer, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, and Elbow….long story LOL. You mentioned i was about 6 feet away from Rihanna. that was true but i was about 6ft away from when she accepted the Grammy on the baby stage. But i sat further back from her at her seat location. Rihanna was late getting to her seat so she had to watch Lady GaGa’s performance from the nose bleed section. She’s always late, she’ll probably be late to her own wedding, hopefully i’ll be the groom, so better late than never. Pink gave a great performance by my point last night was she did the acrobatics at the MTV awards. Beyonce i’m sorry to say is getting stale. And many of us in the audience were scratching our heads on why she chose to cover an Alanis song, especially a difficult one while mopping the floor with your hair. T-Pain is not well liked and it was hilarious watching Slash avoiding him. The most embarrassing part of the whole show was Taylor Swift. Sorry, but this girl cannot sing live, she is ok in the studio with polish but she has no range or any sense of how to approach a song live. I am a Rihanna fan (of course) but i also like Beyonce. No question in my mind that either Beyonce or Lady GaGa deserved the award because they can sing live, then again the award wasn’t for best LIVE album. I obviously kept and eye on Rihanna throughout (after all, she will be my future wife). Speaking of wife, that brings me to Katy and Russell. I mentioned that Rihanna was going to be the maid of honor at their wedding, well, i was being half serious. My point was that Rihanna and Katy are pretty tight. I keep mentioning that Rihanna needs to get her butt on the movie screen. The woman abuser is coming out with 2 movies this summer called “Taken” and “Phenom” and now Katy is on board for “The Robert Blake Story”. Come on Rihanna, i know you have a major tour coming up but i can get you some people who tudor celebs. It’s possible Rihanna is one step ahead of me because i mentioned that QT was interested in someone in a “Kill Bill” type role with MA of the female persuasion and she was seen at a MA class recently. I can’t emphisis enough my feelings regarding Rihanna and her appearing in movies. Sorry for the book, i just don’t get on here much. Rihanna and Matt were together last night but Rihanna is not in love, just casually dating. I came to the conclusion that Rihanna is generally happy but still misses “him”. I don’t fault her for still having feelings.
