Looks like Rihanna won’t be getting a Grammy do-over.
Despite rumors that she’d perform at this year’s awards show, Rihanna told Carson Daly on his Amp Radio show today (January 27) that she’ll attend, but won’t be hitting the stage. “We messed their show up pretty bad last year,†she said. “They might be a little mad at me.â€
Rihanna is, of course, referring to the Grammy morning brawl with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown that caused both of them to miss their scheduled performances, and left the Grammy producers scrambling at the last minute to fill the time.
No biggie to Rihanna, though. She’ll still go into the show nominated twice for “Run This Town,†her collaboration with Jay-Z and Kanye West. They’ll vie for the Best Rap/Sung Category (the same category that earned Rihanna her first Grammy for “Umbrellaâ€) and Best Rap Song.
She’ll still be there tho.

Hopefully, Ri surprise us with a performance. But, if not, I won’t be too disappointed. At least, she will be there and I still can’t wait to see what she is wearing. It is a shame that is the most interesting part of the show to me. I really hate these award shows and I only watch when someone I like is performing.
I still think Hatin is one of the two girls we are always seeing at Rihanna events/performances. I don’t think it is mel or jen. #justmytwocents

I personally dont think Rihanna will be performing at the Grammys, so if she does suprise us on the night all well and good…

Russian rulette is up from #8 to #6 (NEW PEAK) and its been certified GOLD
and in the radios it is up from #10 to #5
Rated R is up from #46 to #44
So it is going great here in spain.
In the US HARD is down one spot from #8 to #9 on the HOT 100
Anyway it is climbing the iTunes chart again
The explicit version is up from #28 to #25
And the clean version is up from #55 to #48
So it is not doing that bad… anyway, this next week is the only chance to peak higher in the HOT 100 because the radio airplay is starting to slow down and rude boy is going to kick it in 2 weeks… SOO PLEASE ONE LAST PUSH!!! BUY AND REQUEST HARD!!! it is our last chance

Capitol Nashville’s Lady Antebellum a Lock for #1 with Possible 400k Bow

This should heat things up a bit in the selling records biz.
With the Grammy telecast this Sunday, Capitol Nashville’s Lady Antebellum, up for a pair of awards after garnering a Best New Artist nomination next year, will bow at #1 on next week’s HITS Album sales chart with Need You Now. Right now that total looks to be between 375-400k, which, in a word, is HUGE for the country trio featuring Hillary Scott, Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley, whose cebut album cracked the mainstream sales chart, the first to do so since Dixie Chicks in 2007.
A tip of the 10-gallon hat to label head Mike Dungan, who’s also responsible for big EMI moneymakers Keith Urban and surprise country star Darius Rucker.
The Hope for Haiti Now album continues to sell through and should remain #2, with a second-week total heading toward 150k.
Capitol/EMI has the week’s other top newcomer in former three-time Grammy nominee Corinne Bailey Rae’s sophomore effort, The Sea, the U.K. singer-songwriter’s first album since the sudden death of her husband two years ago, on target for a debut between 50-55k.
Arista/RMG’s Barry Manilow returns with The Greatest Love Songs of All Time, in the 40-45k range, just in time for that special someone on Valentine’s Day.
Manhattan/EMI’s PBS perennial Celtic Woman looks to be between 30-35k, while the 1,876,456th edition of Razor & Tie’s cottage industry Kidz Bop Kidz should do 25-30k.
Sire’s Never Shout Never, the nom de band for midwestern 18-year-old singer/songwriter Christofer Drew, will see its major label debut, What Is Love?, crack the 15-20k sales mark after a series of independently released EPs that gained traction on MySpace.
