‘Redemption Song’ Available on US iTunes

As we reported yesterday, Rihanna is going to perform Bob Marley’s Redemption Song on Oprah today.

The song is available for charitable purchase through iTunes for a limited time. Proceeds will benefit Hope for Haiti Now. Download the song here – only for US citizens. If you’re not from the US, visit our forum to listen to it.

Guys do you remember the interview that Rihanna did on Big Boi neighborhood? Big Boi asked rih if she could mute a celeb, who would she mute… and rih said Wyclef, Tif Evans, Tila, etc.!!

MY RESPONSE TO HATERS ON TOYAZ WORLD:

I’m a musical student, I play piano and clarinet and my dad is a vocal critic and he is one of the judges for the republic music contest.

One day we were watching TV, and I accidentlly turn on Rihanna’s live concert. I told him: “Watch this, she can’t sing”. (I never heard her live, but everyone said she can’t sing) Then she started sing Unfaithful i think or whatever it’s called… After 30 seconds or so I said: “WTF PLAYBACK!!!”(then she let audience sing) “o.O” My dad just laughed and told me to say him why I tought she can’t sing. I felt so stupid. Guess I’m a fan since then, my dad said she’s really good, and he doesn’t say that thing often.

After I did some research on her vocal range and came up with:

Voice Type: Contralto
Lower Register: B2-G3
Upper-chest (Belt) Register: A4-E5
Falsetto Register: D5-G5
Head Voice Register: G/G#5-B5
Exclamations: B5,C6,C#6
VOCAL RANGE: B2-C#6=3.1 octaves

3.1 vocal range is EXTREMLY good, especially for alto/contralto. Comparing wise, Leona Lewis has 3.5 octaves and Beyonce has 3.4 octaves.

Summary: Whoever thinks after hearing Rihanna live she can’t sing is:
a) Retarded
b) Hater
c) Sits on Chris Brown’s cowk
d) Retarded Hater
e) Deaf
