Yes, the pics are cute, but i’m sorry, Rihanna doesn’t look very flattering in the pics on the yacht. She’s too skinny, don’t know where her booty went, and her hair looks aweful. Also, this whole thing looks staged. She should have been at the Peoples Choice Awards. What better publicity while shes trying to sell records? She’s also not performing at the Grammy’s, why Rihanna? And from the latest info i can find she’s also not slated to be a presenter. It’s no secret that her album sales could do better in the U.S. compared to other countries, why not show up for Ellen, Conan, Peoples Choice, maybe even the Grammy’s? These shows reach millions of Americans. These shows are all in L.A. where she and her new boy toy live. Everyone in here begs everyone else to vote for Rihanna for this or that, to buy, or click this or that, to help her out, but maybe people wouldn’t have to beg as much if she would just show up at these events which is free publicity and can only push her U.S. sales upward.
I actually agree with you, 1sctrojan. She won a People’s Choice Award so it wouldn’t have looked like she was just doing promo. It would have been great for her to show up and let her personality shine while looking gorgeous. Hell, Johnny Depp even showed up and seemed really grateful to be there.
If it is true that she’s releasing “Rude Boy” soon, it’s understandable but I cannot stand that song. If true, her PR team is probably hoping to capitalize on hot new romance and image. I just hope Matt isn’t in the video.
A week ago, I posted the idea of her doing a “Rated R” mixtape, EP or re-release. I said the re-release could include a lot of the hot tracks from Drake, Pharrell, and Kanye, along with remixes: “Rated R Director’s Cut: Deleted Scenes & Alternative Endings”. If they are really changing directions for this project, and releasing “Rude Boy” is evidence of that, then I really think we will see something like that in the future. It would be a good way to move on and tweak her image, while still selling the CD.
All in All my assumption about her was different, but a few things proved me wrong…. She s just one of them Celebrities too, and…. but i dont like where all this is going.. i get a bad feeling about this, and about her career too, she seems like she loosing focus, and a bit off track….

Thanx guys, by the way, Rihanna is still the hottest babe on the planet even on the yacht. To add to my point about being “out there”. I am in the industry, not music, but film and TV, but it’s all the same really. What frustrates me about Rihanna is the new album is getting critically acclaimed by various sources. This album is more personal. But the album doesn’t have an “Umbrella” on it. It’s a harder sell here in the U.S. So it needs “legs”. It needs momentum and a push, it needs a kick. Russian Roulette was not the best choice to start with “Hard” seems to be adding some steam. It’s no coincidence that “Rude Boy” is coming out at the same time the hot pics from Cabo are on the internet. This is planned and i applaud Rihanna for this. But nothing can replace being on TV shows that are seen by millions of Americans. Think about it…..she goes on Ellen, sings “Hard”, everyone in the audience gets a free copy, they like the music, recommend the album to their friends, etc etc. Peoples Choice awards, not only is her mug out there but lots of industry people who she could have mingled with for future movie projects etc. Lets keep in mind that Rihanna will be in Europe for the spring…..there won’t be much talk about her here in the states. I will be at the Golden Globes, Rihanna, you wanna do movies? I have an extra ticket if you want to go. You will have producers and directors galore in the house, i will even introduce you to a couple that i know. Be smart Rihanna, you have plenty of time to frolic, put your heels back on and get movin’ before it’s too late.

1sctrojan, I would agree with you if Rihanna was in control of what she does. Her PR team is dropping the ball, not Rihanna. She’s not performing at the Grammy’s (stupid might I add), going on Ellen, Conan, etc. because they haven’t asked and her PR team haven’t confirmed it. While I agree that some of these venues are the best method to go about this, she will NEVER sell in the US. You have TOO MANY bitches jealous of her, period. Is this Rihanna’s fault? Most certainly not BUT she can’t try too hard in the US cause she risks overexposure.
While I respect people’s opinions…. but Lish wanting her back with him is kinda sick and twisted. There is NO covering up what he did. That’s simply not true about the reason Rihanna isn’t showing up on these shows. I know for a fact she has an open invitation to Conan and Ellen. She lives 10 minutes away for god’s sake. They would bump another guest to get her on. She doesn’t need to be invited to anything. She’s doing THEM the favor. She would have had a front row seat at the People’s Choice Awards. She would be welcomed with open arms at the Golden Globes. If Rihanna told the Grammy Committee she would like to perform she has it, if she tells them sh’ed like to present an award, well, she’s in. I’m hoping to attend the Clive Davis pre grammy event but i don’t even think she’ll be there either. My point is Rihanna is still such a big star, and let’s be real, her personal life has added to her “star” value, that her presence would be a no brainer for those involved. But this “fling” is taking the attention away from her music. It’s becoming tabloid. She needs to get her butt back here and promote, promote, promote.

Uh, there was really no reason for Rihanna to attend the People’s Choice. Do people even watch that award show? Damn, can the girl have a vacation? She, unlike most stars, are famous EVERYWHERE. She has been jumping on planes promoting since her album came out. She is very hard working. She just did a show in the freakin Middle East! Let her live a little…we don’t want another Britney Spears. She will be on Ellen and Conan. Rihanna is definitely not lazy when it comes to promotion-I actually think her team wears her a bit thin. I always said she probably wouldn’t perform on the Grammy’s. She is NOT nominated for this current album so what would she promote? If anything she will do a performance with Jay Z. @lish i hate to say it but i miss Chris and Rihanna being together too. i know they shouldnt stay in a violent relationsh, i just wish Chris could of controlled his anger. i dont know what went wrong between them. they where so cute together and looked so happy. Given the nature of the PCA’s and how irrelevant they are to the award season since I’ve been watching the award season for several years and the PCA’s haven’t had this much attention since EVER, I’m sure she would have had a front row seat. I love it when Ri and M get on a jet ski together—M has been her backbone since day one–I love their friendship. She’s having a blast and Matt seems like a nice guy…but we all thought CB was a nice guy-but moving on. Matt is very attentive to her which is prolly what she needs and wants. Still too early to tell if he’s a keeper…so don’t look to far into this relationship. Important thing is she’s enjoying herself in the process….take it slow RiRi and guard your heart… :-*

Yes, the pics are cute, but i’m sorry, Rihanna doesn’t look very flattering in the pics on the yacht. She’s too skinny, don’t know where her booty went, and her hair looks aweful. Also, this whole thing looks staged. She should have been at the Peoples Choice Awards. What better publicity while shes trying to sell records? She’s also not performing at the Grammy’s, why Rihanna? And from the latest info i can find she’s also not slated to be a presenter. It’s no secret that her album sales could do better in the U.S. compared to other countries, why not show up for Ellen, Conan, Peoples Choice, maybe even the Grammy’s? These shows reach millions of Americans. These shows are all in L.A. where she and her new boy toy live. Everyone in here begs everyone else to vote for Rihanna for this or that, to buy, or click this or that, to help her out, but maybe people wouldn’t have to beg as much if she would just show up at these events which is free publicity and can only push her U.S. sales upward.

I actually agree with you, 1sctrojan. She won a People’s Choice Award so it wouldn’t have looked like she was just doing promo. It would have been great for her to show up and let her personality shine while looking gorgeous. Hell, Johnny Depp even showed up and seemed really grateful to be there.
If it is true that she’s releasing “Rude Boy” soon, it’s understandable but I cannot stand that song. If true, her PR team is probably hoping to capitalize on hot new romance and image. I just hope Matt isn’t in the video.
A week ago, I posted the idea of her doing a “Rated R” mixtape, EP or re-release. I said the re-release could include a lot of the hot tracks from Drake, Pharrell, and Kanye, along with remixes: “Rated R Director’s Cut: Deleted Scenes & Alternative Endings”. If they are really changing directions for this project, and releasing “Rude Boy” is evidence of that, then I really think we will see something like that in the future. It would be a good way to move on and tweak her image, while still selling the CD.

Thanx guys, by the way, Rihanna is still the hottest babe on the planet even on the yacht. To add to my point about being “out there”. I am in the industry, not music, but film and TV, but it’s all the same really. What frustrates me about Rihanna is the new album is getting critically acclaimed by various sources. This album is more personal. But the album doesn’t have an “Umbrella” on it. It’s a harder sell here in the U.S. So it needs “legs”. It needs momentum and a push, it needs a kick. Russian Roulette was not the best choice to start with “Hard” seems to be adding some steam. It’s no coincidence that “Rude Boy” is coming out at the same time the hot pics from Cabo are on the internet. This is planned and i applaud Rihanna for this. But nothing can replace being on TV shows that are seen by millions of Americans. Think about it…..she goes on Ellen, sings “Hard”, everyone in the audience gets a free copy, they like the music, recommend the album to their friends, etc etc. Peoples Choice awards, not only is her mug out there but lots of industry people who she could have mingled with for future movie projects etc. Lets keep in mind that Rihanna will be in Europe for the spring…..there won’t be much talk about her here in the states. I will be at the Golden Globes, Rihanna, you wanna do movies? I have an extra ticket if you want to go. You will have producers and directors galore in the house, i will even introduce you to a couple that i know. Be smart Rihanna, you have plenty of time to frolic, put your heels back on and get movin’ before it’s too late.

1sctrojan, I would agree with you if Rihanna was in control of what she does. Her PR team is dropping the ball, not Rihanna. She’s not performing at the Grammy’s (stupid might I add), going on Ellen, Conan, etc. because they haven’t asked and her PR team haven’t confirmed it. While I agree that some of these venues are the best method to go about this, she will NEVER sell in the US. You have TOO MANY bitches jealous of her, period. Is this Rihanna’s fault? Most certainly not BUT she can’t try too hard in the US cause she risks overexposure.
While I respect people’s opinions…. but Lish wanting her back with him is kinda sick and twisted. There is NO covering up what he did. That would have not been a healthy relationship for her to continue with. Hence, those two not being together. Whether Matt is playing her or not is kinda irrelevant at this stage since it’s nothing more than time being spent together at this point. They aren’t proposing marriage or kids. Just two people having fun. Now if he breaks her heart down the road because it was a hoax for them to be together, then yes, he was playing her but until there is some proof, why act like a blog site?
I don’t fucking get this. I love Rihanna and her fans are supportive that’s why they are a Navy BUT I DON’T GET SOME OF YOU! It has been stated OVER AND OVER again that people want Rihanna to move on, show that she can be together with another man and he can treat her right. Well from the looks of it, her BFFs and Rihanna are having NO problem with Matt right now. TRUST that they are being VERY careful about who enters Rihanna’s live and what is being put out there as far as this so for right now, he is on the up and up. Damn, you want Rihanna happy BUT not like this. You want her to MOVE ON BUT not with him. You claim to want her HAPPY, over and over BUT she can’t be happy with him. I haven’t seen a photo of them yet where she wasn’t LAUGHING and SMILING with him that we haven’t seen in months!

That’s simply not true about the reason Rihanna isn’t showing up on these shows. I know for a fact she has an open invitation to Conan and Ellen. She lives 10 minutes away for god’s sake. They would bump another guest to get her on. She doesn’t need to be invited to anything. She’s doing THEM the favor. She would have had a front row seat at the People’s Choice Awards. She would be welcomed with open arms at the Golden Globes. If Rihanna told the Grammy Committee she would like to perform she has it, if she tells them sh’ed like to present an award, well, she’s in. I’m hoping to attend the Clive Davis pre grammy event but i don’t even think she’ll be there either. My point is Rihanna is still such a big star, and let’s be real, her personal life has added to her “star” value, that her presence would be a no brainer for those involved. But this “fling” is taking the attention away from her music. It’s becoming tabloid. She needs to get her butt back here and promote, promote, promote.

Uh, there was really no reason for Rihanna to attend the People’s Choice. Do people even watch that award show? Damn, can the girl have a vacation? She, unlike most stars, are famous EVERYWHERE. She has been jumping on planes promoting since her album came out. She is very hard working. She just did a show in the freakin Middle East! Let her live a little…we don’t want another Britney Spears. She will be on Ellen and Conan. Rihanna is definitely not lazy when it comes to promotion-I actually think her team wears her a bit thin. I always said she probably wouldn’t perform on the Grammy’s. She is NOT nominated for this current album so what would she promote? If anything she will do a performance with Jay Z. She will of course be there though, and probably present. I do think she should change her hair though, it is horrible…looks like a curly mop! Her body is bangin though. I think Rude Boy is a terrible choice for a single, though. If she releases that I am scared for her album sales :(

Given the nature of the PCA’s and how irrelevant they are to the award season since I’ve been watching the award season for several years and the PCA’s haven’t had this much attention since EVER, I’m sure she would have had a front row seat.
