Guys I think there is just too much unnecessary energy spent on what bloggers say, I admit I get caught up in it too. At the end of the day though her shows sell out, her music sales, it gets played on the radio, when shes on tv she gets high ratings. Not to mention ever move she makes is on the mind of bloggers, journalists and paps.
With that said most people who hate on her dont hate her shes just become the female people love to hate on. Let um hate its still stacking her paper and getting her name out there building her brand. Only worry when no one at all is talking about her.

Im literally dying of laughter that Rated R is only 6 spots behind Grafloppy in its 4th week, and once the video drops it definitely go up. He might as well start filling out McDonalds applications

The sound of the music is deceptive, I think. It almost sounds pretty or romantic. It just has a lighter feel to me and I think it would give a different impression than RR or Hard

@ Annie Those are great ideas!! Rihanna would do well in listening to Bowie, Grace Jones, Stevie Nicks, etc to see how they used their voices and interpreted songs. Too many people think the gold standard for female pop singers is Mariah or Whitney. So if you don't do the vocal gymnastics, you can't "sang!". This is pure bull. Many of best singers didn't have 5 octaves. They just knew how to interpret the song and how to sing with their hearts. Just look at Sade, Billie Holiday, Marvin Gaye, etc.

First, I don’t care for this Natalie chick at all, but I sure do like her timing. lol She makes CB out to be a liar right after Walmart and the media made him out to be a liar. Billboard has him at #7 tomorrow, not #6 like hitsdailly and just 102K, so the digital sales did not bump him up much at all. Now eonline and hollyscoop say “Rihanna Stomps Chris!” LOL!! Now we just have to wait to see the extent of what “Hard” can do with this video. I have grown to love “Hard,” as it’s my workout anthem. But, I admit t being more excited about her third single because whether it’s “Fire Bomb” or “Photographs” I know it be a warmer image than what we’ve seen so far and be an easier sell. The truth is, the THIRD single will be the one that sales more CDs because both of those songs will appeal to a broader audience than the first two.
Congratulations to Rihanna for making People Magazine’s “Most Intriguing” issue as this year’s “Most Resilient”. Was that wording not a sweet bit of cross-promotion? “Brilliant, RESILIENT….” lol Rihanna’s PR team should get a nice Christmas bonus for that one. lol
