Neither one of them could say much since the case didn't end until what July/August? CB had to come forward right after that because he was the one charged. It's not easy for a domestic violence survivor to speak about his/her situation and especially publicly. Some people never speak out about it. First of all people need to realize Rihanna doesn't owe them shit. She didn't have to speak at all, but she decided to use the voice that was given to her productively. Secondly, it takes time to heal. I'm a victim of rape, dv, and molestation and it took me a very long time to talk about it and I seldom talk about it now. Every single time someone brings that subject matter up, it doesn't have to be personal, I'm reminded of my situation. Maybe she felt like she had to talk about her situation to clear the elephant in the room because she knew there was no way to properly promote her album without speaking on the situation. They just want to say it was album promo. CB had almost his entire video played on his 20/20 interview and has had like 5 or 6 interviews. That's why I don't understand why people say he hasn't had proper promotion. His ass has been everywhere. Fuck him and his stans.
If Chris Brown were smart he'd keep his mouth closed before he puts his foot in it. If he were to start bashing Rihanna after his CD flopping it would move his career from 6 feet under to 12.

Be glad her bruised and battered face was leaked by those 2 female LAPD officers. I love Rihanna like all the rest of you (and despise CB), but i know for a fact, (because i'm in the entertainment industry), that the only reason Rihanna broke up with CB was BECAUSE of the photo. Rihanna was in denial, like other victims, and i know that she was planning on hibernating here in LA. until her face healed. She even eluded to the fact on the 20/20 interview that she wasn't going to lose her "empire" for the sake of love. She was forced into this situation because of the leaked photo. Rihanna has a drug habit, that drug is Chris Brown, she is not with him because of the court order the judge imposed. I know people who know Rihanna, they all say the same thing i've been saying…….that if there was no photo she'd still be with him, if there were no court order she would be willing to risk damaging her "empire" for that drug called Chris Brown. Like i said, i'm a Rihanna fan (ok, i admit, mostly because she's freakin' hot) and i hate that POS CB, but many of you would/will be in a state of shock if/when the "stay away" order was lifted. This is why it hasn't so far…….some people on Rihanna's side (to remain anonoymous), that really love her, have made it clear to the judge (indirectly) that this stay away order is necessary for the safety and well being of Rihanna. If you disect her 20/20 interview it's very revealing, revealing in the fact that it wasn't just what she said, but what she didn't say. What i'm really saying is CB is still part of her life and she's riding this out for however long it takes.

Oh my word. Like, wow. I have been preparing myself in case CB pulled in astronomical numbers, but I hadn't prepared myself for an under-performance. And honey, these #s at 70% are just that. Holy buckets!! Just wow. What comes to my mind is that this is a "Welcome to Planet Earth" moment for his fans as well as him. They seem like a group of people so isolated from reality that they cannot see the forest for the trees. No, you really DO need more than your little fan clubs and followers on twitter to have a thriving career.

Now as for Rihanna. Yes, I can see that the bitterness on the other side might intensify now, but what can they really do? His camp has less power and currency the more time presses on. The dye is set, the public concludes what it will and people move on. I like what she said in that GQ article about starting a new life and beginning again. She said maybe in 10 years she and CB could be friends but she's not depending on that. She can live without it.

The timing of her CD, the image all of it says this is a woman who is ready for whatever. Rihanna will be fine. Something I saw in her on SNL confirmed this for me.
CNN has an article about Chris Brown's temper tantrum on twitter and now he deletes it. Billboard made fun of his temper tantrum in their "Daily Noise" section on their website. Wal Mart released a statement indirectly referring to Chris saying They do not shelve albums nor discriminate. And twitter has been going in on him all day. Imagine tomorrow. And On TOP of that grafloppy flopped overseas and here in the US.

I think it is too late. It will not be #1 thursday thats for sure. Then the video comes out on the 18th. That is probably wen people will be buying the single and thats the 18th which means another Thursday passed up and Hard probably moved up but not to #1. Then we have 1 more week it is up to that week and on the 31st its a Thursday and idk about dat although she would meet the deadline. Neither one of them could say much since the case didn't end until what July/August? CB had to come forward right after that because he was the one charged. It's not easy for a domestic violence survivor to speak about his/her situation and especially publicly. Some people never speak out about it. Remember Rih has said that she was hesitant to speak about it at all.

First of all people need to realize Rihanna doesn't owe them shit. She didn't have to speak at all, but she decided to use the voice that was given to her productively. Secondly, it takes time to heal. I'm a victim of rape, dv, and molestation and it took me a very long time to talk about it and I seldom talk about it now. Every single time someone brings that subject matter up, it doesn't have to be personal, I'm reminded of my situation. Maybe she felt like she had to talk about her situation to clear the elephant in the room because she knew there was no way to properly promote her album without speaking on the situation. They just want to say it was album promo. CB had almost his entire video played on his 20/20 interview and has had like 5 or 6 interviews. That's why I don't understand why people say he hasn't had proper promotion. His ass has been everywhere. Fuck him and his stans.

Be glad her bruised and battered face was leaked by those 2 female LAPD officers. I love Rihanna like all the rest of you (and despise CB), but i know for a fact, (because i'm in the entertainment industry), that the only reason Rihanna broke up with CB was BECAUSE of the photo. Rihanna was in denial, like other victims, and i know that she was planning on hibernating here in LA. until her face healed. She even eluded to the fact on the 20/20 interview that she wasn't going to lose her "empire" for the sake of love. She was forced into this situation because of the leaked photo. Rihanna has a drug habit, that drug is Chris Brown, she is not with him because of the court order the judge imposed. I know people who know Rihanna, they all say the same thing i've been saying…….that if there was no photo she'd still be with him, if there were no court order she would be willing to risk damaging her "empire" for that drug called Chris Brown. Like i said, i'm a Rihanna fan (ok, i admit, mostly because she's freakin' hot) and i hate that POS CB, but many of you would/will be in a state of shock if/when the "stay away" order was lifted. This is why it hasn't so far…….some people on Rihanna's side (to remain anonoymous), that really love her, have made it clear to the judge (indirectly) that this stay away order is necessary for the safety and well being of Rihanna. If you disect her 20/20 interview it's very revealing, revealing in the fact that it wasn't just what she said, but what she didn't say. What i'm really saying is CB is still part of her life and she's riding this out for however long it takes.

Oh my word. Like, wow. I have been preparing myself in case CB pulled in astronomical numbers, but I hadn't prepared myself for an under-performance. And honey, these #s at 70% are just that. Holy buckets!! Just wow. What comes to my mind is that this is a "Welcome to Planet Earth" moment for his fans as well as him. They seem like a group of people so isolated from reality that they cannot see the forest for the trees. No, you really DO need more than your little fan clubs and followers on twitter to have a thriving career.
CB has a group of people around him that kiss his behind and tell him he's the "next Michael Jackson" all the time. And I hope this CD bombing will pop a little hole in that balloon and let the air out a bit. He blew it especially this weekend and he has only himself to blame. People might have felt sorry for him if he had just said remained humble and thanked everyone who bought his CD. Show some damn humility for once.
Dude has a song called "Crawl" but the way I see it, he feels what he has done doesn't require him to crawl. He's Chris Brown. The girls, the car, the stage lights, the screams? Shoot, he aint about to crawl for the public. The public will come crawling to him once he unveils his latest MJ tribute!! Look at his moves!! Can't nobody in the biz do it like C Breezy, baby!!! Sorry but I read all these comments and I had to get that out.
Now as for Rihanna. Yes, I can see that the bitterness on the other side might intensify now, but what can they really do? His camp has less power and currency the more time presses on. The dye is set, the public concludes what it will and people move on. I like what she said in that GQ article about starting a new life and beginning again. She said maybe in 10 years she and CB could be friends but she's not depending on that. She can live without it.
And I am encouraged by how she's handled herself so far. Look at the boldness and vision it took to put out a CD like Rated R. "I pitch with a grenade"? Does that sound like a woman afraid of the future? lol Listen to "Hard" and really think about the chutzpah it took for a woman who had been so beaten down in public–her strong image shattered–to come back and out and not only show her face, but talk major shyt!! lol Just think about it. The timing of her CD, the image all of it says this is a woman who is ready for whatever. Rihanna will be fine. Something I saw in her on SNL confirmed this for me.

Thanks cocoliza & tracee. You know what's sad to me is, it just seemed like Rihanna got beat down for loving too hard. I don't know her all the details, obviously, but it just seemed like the girl just wanted him to be true to her and loved too hard. And that is why I think she'll continue to haunt CB.
I forgot to say that, I do agree with the post that said the TMZ pic leaking was a blessing in disguise. I know that sounds crazy but I agree that it was that pic that showed the severity of the situation. Prior to that, his camp was saying that it wasn't that bad. But that pic changed everything. I'd like to say that the women who leaked it were secretly trying to help Rihanna in a way, but we all know they got paid and were about the $$$. It sucks and wasn't fair, but I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a silver lining in that happening.
