Rihanna interview with 106&Park

NeonLimeLight.com: Pop princess Rihanna appeared on BETâ€™s 106 and Park today (December 10) to perform her new single, Hard, with Young Jeezy and talk about her newly released album Rated R. Watch the performance here.

â€œSonically, itâ€™s a little darker. I wanted it to be grimier. I wanted bigger bass, heavier beats,â€ Rihanna said of the new record. â€œAnd then the lyrics, theyâ€™re really personal. A lot of deep lyrics. A lot of honest lyrics. And thatâ€™s why I think itâ€™s the best work Iâ€™ve done so far.â€

Little was said about the singers highly publicized tumultuous year. Instead, the interview focused on Rihannaâ€™s fun side. Let see here , Rihanna was left in the car all bloody and shit. CB Bodyguards picked him up and left her there. Where was his human side then, to get in a fight with his girlfriend and then leave the girl alone and beaten in the car. he's talking about people being fickle and shallow, What was he on that night. Rihanna had to live through the picture of her face being all over the world for people to see her all swollen and beaten, while Chris was in one piece recovering.No one got to see his injuries , even if he had any.He got the chance to heel in private. The media took Rihanna picture and ran it as a headline story for nearly 4 months. Chris was out and about , Rihanna was in hiding for 8 months. Even now him and his fans are bashing her still, and he complainng about being black ball.Riri took the ridicule that his fans and supporters gave her,Gracefully like any human should, why canâ€™t he do the same and keep it moving.He said he leave the situation in gods hand , well then what is he doing on twitter right now playing god by casting out the people who are not supporting him.I'm so over him and his stupid fans, I am and will always be a Riri fans for life, she is so graceful and sweet ..How can someone do something like what he did to her and expect to be forgiven easily is beyond me.

If anything had me in doubts. I surely believe every word Rihanna said about that night. He does have anger issues. Further more this could all be a plot on him and his people part to get him to get his album sell, along with getting sympathy sales and playing the Victim. He has some nerve. B4Real, yeah there's too much Chris Brown talk right now but that's only because this weekend is like the final face off or something. It's silly, but Rihanna did not start it and neither did her supporters. Chris Brown's team and his fans came on this site and twitter to mock Rihanna at every turn. They mocked her performances, sales, interviews everything and some on RD are just dishing back to them. It's only natural.

Why wouldn't he expect shade if he himself gives it out? It hasn't even been a year yet and here he is trying to sing love songs or songs about getting girls, when he's not trying to make people feel sorry for him. It's like the guy cannot guy a year even without public adoration. And it's downright unseemly to be on the internet cussing & begging folks to buy your CD. Have some damn dignity!

Rihanna did not have the greatest promotion for her CD at all. That's false. What she's had is promotion for her interview and taking a stand for herself. But, her CD is another matter altogether. The way her CD was rolled out seemed rushed and very confusing. And the singles were just not what people want from her right now. People want to see her surrounded by light after such a tough year, but she gave them something even darker. It's a risky thing she did but it also is her best work.

After this week, though the "competition" and madness will wind down and I personally cannot wait.

I feel you, but his genre is R&B. He is expected to sing love songs, club songs, etc. Rihanna is a bit more pop so vice versa. R Kelly to this day is still singing about sex even through his mess. Music is about expression. As an artist you will have to do the songs that you might not be 100% behind and then there are those that you know for yourself came from you. In reality it would have been nice for both of them to take time off, but they have bills to pay just like everyone else. It may be a competition between fans, but this is their lives. I wish them both success. Life is hard enough trying to navigate it without the extras.

@b4 real yeah you guys are always asking us to forgive chris, but rihanna is the one who is getting the worst end of the stick publically, even though she was the one beaten to a pulp. People are blaming her and hating her, and justify and making excuses for Chris's behavior. Even he himself, has never came to her rescue to say lay off of her, so whatever he's getting now, its on him.
