She was just going with the flow…and I know she feels like she is on some "rockstar" shit, but she is a pop artist and pop fans need some direction and choreography.This concert was pointless if you saw the Nokia one. Well from what I'm hearing, Rihanna should learn some dance moves. But honestly, how can you dance to her tracks? You know what I mean? But I think you just want a better performance. A storyline maybe, to make her performances more lively. Like the AMAs performance of Mad House / Wait Your Turn / Hard. I love the Lazer Lights idea. That's a big step. If there were more special effects, her performances would be even greater, and her fans will be happier / more content.
I wish she performed new songs. I would've loved to see Photographs, Rockstar 101, Cold Case Love, Fire Bomb, and The Last Song. Ok I missed the rest of the album. Please Rihanna, we want to hear them! (= We still love you though..

So at least we know there will be NO choreography in the Hard video. I really think Rihanna was planning on doing a tour like this with no dancing. She performed WYT and HARD on primetime telivision with no dancers or choreography. Hopefully someone in her camp tells her that will not work, but it seems like they let her do whatever she wants lol. They will start regulating though when they see the response.

i do not think dancing really is the problem… she just has to do something. i.e. interact with the band… have a few gimmicks here and there. she sounded great but she looked real nervous and was just either sitting or standing.

She did sound pretty good. There were a few rough notes but she did pretty good vocally. BUT, like others said, she needs some dancing. And if she isn't going to dance, hire some dancers to do it behind her.
And if she says this is her "movie" bring the drama!!! Make it like a movie we're watching….really get into it, ya know? I understand them not wanting to pay dancers and for a huge set right now, but when she goes on tour she needs to do it up.
And really, there should have been more NEW SONGS!! No one needed to hear "Please Don't Stop the Music" again. "Te Amo" "Rock Star 101" "Stupid In Love"….these songs would have fit in nicely.
But I will give props where they are due and she did sound pretty good in spots.. "Run This Town" Disturbia" and "Take A Bow" especially.

The choreography will def be great to add but really upping her showmanship like when she did RR on Xfactor she didnt dance but it was a great show it kept you watching. She created a story with her performance as opposed to just having props on stage and doing a little one two step as she sings.

Maison, I love ya, but let's be real. This was a free concert. Of course they were lined up, she's Rihanna. However, we are in a recession and people are NOT going to pay $60 bucks for a pop artist to walk around the stage and sing. She isn't Whitney or Mariah or Celine and even they have dancers!! Even Christina does choreography and has dancers. She needs to prove herself as a performer to the average person who has not seen her GGGB concert. I am not being negative because she sounded great, but I think they could have gotten a lot more people interested in her with the opportunities that have been thrown her way.

Rihanna is steady carving out her niche as one of the most interesting pop acts of our time. You can say whatever else you want about her, and she has some rough spots to work out, but you cannot deny or ignore that she is blazing her own trail. And for someone so young, that's quite remarkable.
I can see why Janet Jackson likes Rihanna. Game recognizes game. Just like Janet, Rihanna was "reborn" after her third CD. She has some good songs on her earlier stuff, but it's almost like she became "RIHANNA" after GGGB. The same thing happened with Janet Jackson's Control. The earlier two CDs are never talked about (and she never performs those songs).

I love it. I’m content. She sang her ass off. Most of her songs aren’t dance songs to begin with. I’m capping the show now. I don’t expect her to do Rockstar, Photos, etc. because that is not what is being advertised as the singles RIGHT NOW. Artists do this ALL the time when they bring out new albums; they perform certain songs UNTIL concert time. She’ll probably do one of them on SNL but I would doubt it.
DAMN, SHE BEEN OUT FOR OVER 8 MONTHS; WHY AREN’T YOU ALL HAPPY THAT SHE IS PERFORMING? Some of y’all tell the haters to go away because they are negative but what about some of you? ALWAYS picking apart everything because it wasn’t this and that. Half of the comments DON’T even be constructive, they be bitching and whining!

Hatin, I understand that but how do you think she is going to get people to pay to come to her concerts. She has given two concerts and so the average person is going to expect that is what they would get on tour. I am telling you, Rihanna was planning on going on tour doing this same stuff. She has done it for all of her appearances so far.
