LOS ANGELES — Rihanna is back on the scene with her latest album, Rated R. In the weeks leading up to its release, the singer released a few videos, did numerous interviews and even hit the stage at several shows — her own in London, two with Jay-Z (in New York and Los Angeles) and a sexy performance at the American Music Awards.
Now Rihanna is ready to take her Rated R act on the road for a full-fledged tour, and she promises that when the trek starts next year she’s going to give concertgoers a real show.
“We gonna be going on tour in the spring and the tickets are going to be up for presale in a couple weeks, actually,” she told MTV News on the set of her “Hard” video. “It’s going to be a worldwide tour, so it’s going to be a very long tour. … We’ll definitely be in your city, so look out for that.”
Although she was light on details, she did say that it’s going to be somewhat of a spectacle, calling the vibe of the tour “daring.” But, in terms of planning, the best is yet to come. “We’ve been prepping for the tour for a few months now, coming out with different ideas and cool things that we can do,” she explained. “Things that we’ve never seen before, daring things — but now is when we really start with the rehearsal and we get into the nitty-gritty and the details of everything.
“I love taking risks. I’m not afraid of the unknown,” she added.

hope the song really pushes the sales and erases the bad feeling about the sales perception that I have,,, coz the album only being 16th in the UK really annoyes me, more than the 4th in the US. hope this week the sales go up there with the X factor and russian roulette gets the number 1!!
anyway, the album is not doing that bad, and I really think that chosing the right singles is the key for the success of it.
first of all, wait your turn should stay as a promotional single and leave it like that.
3th for me: photographs
4th single: fire bomb
5th single: rude boy
6th single: stupid in love
7th single: cold case love/last song/rockstar 101/g4l (last single)
and then re release the album with at least 2 club bangers and at least 5-6 new songs.

I think that even knowing that there are better song than rude boy in the album, rude boy is a catchy and clubby song and that helps with the charts.
I really think that the album needs at least one number 1 to forget about the bad feelings with the sales!!!
anyway if hard does well I think photographs will outsell every single in the album and of course will boost the sales.

anyway…. rihanna's GGGB sold 278.000 worldwide the first week of release and stayed in the top40 albums for 91 weeks…. so…. the key of an album success is not the peaks or the first week sales… its the longevity!!
ANYWAY!!! you guys cant espect the same numbers that with GGGB coz that was something extraordinary. NOBODY sells 8.000.000 albums nowadays!!!

is the second most played song on the radio in the US. Its behind only Jay z song.
Thats excellent. Also Hard jumped b51 spots on the Billboard 100 to #19 song in
America. We need the video to be incredible, but I feel it will be. We just have to
wait and see. But I'm confident, cause the music is great. A masterpiece for the ears.
