Rihanna says Kate Moss inspired her to design a clothes range.
The singer’s interest in fashion has led her to launch her own collection. Rihanna is a huge fan of British supermodel Kate’s designs for high street chain Topshop and is keen to create a line which is just as successful.
“I’ve started work on the collection, we are getting it together. It is in the beginning stages. Fashion is something I have always loved,†Rihanna told Grazia magazine. “I love Kate Moss. She’s just hands-down one of the baddest badasses in the land. Nobody can take her down. I really admire Kate because every photo shoot she does is different. Every time you see her there is a different energy that she puts out in whatever outfit she is wearing. I think she is amazing.â€
Rihanna is thrilled to have been given the opportunity to design clothes because it gives her an avenue to express herself away from her music career.
She explained: “I am a very creative person, so it is another way for me to get my creativity out.â€
The 21-year-old beauty has been taking advice from Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini after being unveiled as the face of the Italian fashion house’s accessories last year. Rihanna is hoping to work with a range of fashion experts for the new line.
“I love designing. Frida has been helping me develop as a designer. I will probably work with some cool designers who I think have a similar sense of style and design to me.â€

Good news for HARD! On Urban charts it jumped 34 to 17 (RR is at 35) and on Rhythmic it jumped 40 to 27 (RR is ay 28) On both these charts, HARD is the biggest gainer. Even on the Pop charts where it hasn’t even been sent yet, HARD jumped 69 to 57 (RR is 22). HARD is doing very well right now :) RR was more of an event single and I don’t think most people wanted to hear Rihanna sing about that topic while the picture of her face was still fresh. Most people don’t get the metaphor, so it just seemed violent and likely made a lot of people uncomfortable.

I don't get this with fashion that EVERY SINGLE GIRL (well not EVERY single girl) is in to fashion?!!! why can't any attractive girl/woman break free or not fall into something else?! I don't get why people buy new clothes everyday & CAN'T WEAR THE SAME F______ thing twice!

I usually can not stand when a celeb does a fashion line, BUT Rihanna is quite the fashionista and if it looks anything like her style, then I'll be buying.

Fashion isn't a girl thing. There are plenty of male designers. In fact, there is probably more male designers than female. Rihanna has said from day one she wanted to start her own fashion line. Even before she was known as a fashion icon. Plus, Rihanna is one of the very few celebrities that repeatedly wear the same thing. Angelina Jolie is the only other celebrity that I have seen wearing an outfit more than once. Anything with Rihanna name on it will fly off the rack. If it is affordable, of course. I just hope she hire models to model her clothes. The most successful clothing lines are the ones where the celebrity face isn't all over it. Anything that any of these celebrities do today has already been done by somebody before them. So, if she want a fashion line…why not?

RIRI spoke so good and she is just sharp and right to the point, and i just love that about her and in and out i could pick up on her beautiful accent i love to hear her talk. but also she sounds kind of like janet jackson a little to me after listing to janet last night on with robin roberts of gma. riri is the making of a legend its in the air yall..
