Now that I watch "wait is ova" again, it actually wasn't that bad.She performed it good…but it wasn't as good as the other songs performed. During "Russian Roulette" her voice sounded shaky to me. "RR" definitely needs improvement…especially for her upcoming performances that are all for promo.
The rest of the songs performed were awsome.She has improved.She has more control over her voice now.Not that she didn't before, but to me after the Glow in the drak tour, it seemed like her performances had gotten worse when she had been improving tremendously.I guess it was too hard for her to concentrate…too much distraction?
Even though "cold case love" is not a single and I know this will not happen, but I really hope she would perform it on X-factor.

OH MY GOSH!!! You all were right (my real RiRi stans)!. She rocked it. Just finished watching. Her stage presence and voice has improved so much!!!! Her confidence and swagger is unbelievable. maison martin margiela, I'm confused at your comment to me.I said her voice didn't sound like it was cracking during her Disturbia performance or the whole show.She just sounded shaky to me during the first few songs performed and I think it had to do with nerves.I realize this was her first show(in what seems in forever) she just needed to get back in her comfort zone, which she did because the rest of the show was great…IMO.

@ travis and c.o.m, were u even listening to RR. that song is a powerful song and i think she sounded gr8t on that.. especially the belts.. her voice really has gotten much stronger. i didn't really hear much shakeyness. wat i wud like from the performance is a little more dramatic effect..like the chair was good but instead of walking around afterwards.. um drop to the ground and show us some rel heart. just needs to sell it a bit more.. but i think the vocals were on point.

@ Joe, I guess we can agree to disagree as far the vocals go on RR and I agree w/ you about a little more dramatic effect during that performance. I love RR and I just want it to sound just as good live. I know she can make it happen…just needs improvement. This is just my opinion though.

She should get better the more she performs "RR" and "wait your turn". She seems truly focused and determined this come around.Hopefully she keeps with it.

I think there was a problem with her ear-piece during RR cos you could see her fixing the wire, when the lights dimmed down…somebody else also noticed it on another forum….
Does anybody know why RR isnt available to buy in the UK yet, Ive pre-ordered 'Rated R' on Itunes, but I thought RR was being released on 16th November..
That means she's releasing the album here, before releasing the first single….

I thought she did well and made such an improvement voice-wise and presence-wise!! "Take A Bow" and "Disturbia" were her best performances here, I think. That new arrangement on "Disturbia" really works with her voice. But on the forum, I, too, said she needs to polish up "Russian Roulette" before Letterman and the like. It was her first time singing it and it's a harder song to sing. She'll get better.
the only other thing I'd recommend is more dancing. A few steps here and there would really spice things up. Or she should learn how to really head bang, jump up and down–something.
She seems more "into" her music and performance now, though. She's off to a great start!!

Great performance but I agree that she should dance some more. She usually does dance more than what we saw here (GGGB Live anyone?) but I don't know where her backup dancers were. Anyway, her voice was on point for the most part. I am very proud of her.

I think Rihanna's hottest performance was "If I Never See Your Face Again" with Maroon 5. She was so alive during that and really played to the audience (and Adam Levine who could not take his eyes off of her lmao!!)

When I say more dancing, I do not mean like the three girls in leotards thing (like GaGa, Beyonce etc) or an army of dancers. NO no no. I'd like something more simple, subtle and unique to Rihanna. She could get a choreographer that understands what she does well and creates steps for her music that she can do at will or whatever. As I said on the forum, if she does it right, she'll have a little trademark move and they'll be saying "that looks like Rihanna's step!!" just like they do with her fashion and sound.
Rihanna used to wine and belly dancing….she can move, but you wouldn't know that by watching some of her today.

Because the tracks leaked, I wish they'd add a few hidden tracks on there, like the song she did with Drizzy!! I bet they are saving that for a rerelease or something, though. Rated R is one of those CDs that doesn't need anything added to it. It's got a flavor all its own, ya know? The only thing I'd add is an extended version of "Mad House' which almost every review I've read mentioned, as well.

I some how think the dancing is coming. I watched the performance and she did let herself go a couple of times.
the problem is Rihanna comes from a different culture and the Hip and belly movements are more natual to Soca and Reggae than the jumping around that is part of the american dance culture.
I want to see her do Rude boy and I known that Wait your turn will have some serious wuck up moves to it. She will do well dancing to the Reggae and dub numbers but the pop is always going to be forced because it will not come natual to her.

@ Demmi You make an interesting point about her being from a different culture. That is why I said she needs to move in a way that's unique to her and not try to do what everyone else is doing. Find some moves that work best for her and accentuate the songs.
I don't know how anyone could say she sounded horrible at this concert. To me that is a dead giveaway that you're just full of sh*t and trying to sneak in your hate and shade while true fans give constructive criticism. All artists need feedback, especially when starting new eras!! But Ri has all the makings to get her to that next level. Her music is there, her confidence is there, and with a few tweaks, her performance will be there.

@coMa R, the umberlla one was hot but i think (in my opinion) the best version of Umbrella is the British MTV Version; BUT I LOVE THE REHAB PERFORMANCE!!!!!!!!!!

Her voice is much stronger and she connects really well with the audience, but she really needs a choreographer. Where are her dancers? Still, I liked the staging and concepts, but she is a superstar now and she needs to have a superstar stage show. Obviously, this was her 1st concert and a free performance at that, so I am excited to see what they do in the future.

I love Rihanna I truly truly truly truly do but she cannot keep sounding like this. This is probably one of the worst shows she has ever had. I have heard way better from her. It seems like she was pushing for voice through her nose. She needs to relax like she does in the studio. She is capable of hitting those high notes obviously but she needs to work on perfecting it live. And i agree with the other person that it would help to be more organized like she used to be early GGGB era and pre GGGB.

idk…she needs other things on stage with her…like it was boring…all she did was sit n a chair n kinda groove…like…i wanna be entertained…she doesnt dance…she has no routine…its just her singing…it can get boring at times…i saw her live wit kanye n 07…n it was the same…i mean its hard to get into something when there's really nothing to get in to…as for her voice…i say it has grown…i dont think she sounded that bad…the only thing i think that needs true improvement is her stage presence n her dancing…
