L.A. Reid (the Chairman and CEO of Island Def Jam Music Group) was on Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday. He and Oprah talked about “Rated R”, Rihanna’s upcoming album, then Oprah said to her audience something like “didn’t she do an outstanding job on 20/20?”, the audience “yes” and L.A. agreed she did a wonderful job. They also showed the album’s cover and played a snippet of the “Wait Your Turn” music video.

The Oprah Winfrey Show is the highest-rated talk show in American television history.

By the way, Rihanna should go to Oprah’s show. That would be amazing!

Thanks, Rosimae and Fallingup!

    6. Take that Perez, you flake!! lol

I know some people were annoyed with Oprah but not me. I think she always was coming from a good place and I think she does a lot of good. She means well……

I would love for Rihanna to go on Oprah, but primarily to promote her CD. I don't want her to rehash what she's been through. In fact, I think it was best she talked with Diane Sawyer, who is seen as a more neutral source.

    9. Yea, BUT with all of Rihanna's success… Oprah was never really interested in Riri until the February incident happened so it's like I think she'd want Rihanna on the show more so to talk about that then to talk about her music. I mean it is a good look to be on Oprah, but ummmm… yea. SMH.

    10. RIRI SHOULD CONSIDER DURING OPRAH, BECAUSE GAIL AND OPRAH BOTH REACHED OUT TO RIRI AND GAIL WAS AT THE GLAMOUR EVENT THAT THAT HAD. THESE ARE WOMEN THAT RIRI NEEDS IN HER CIRCLE OF INFULUENCES. ITS A VERY GOOD IMAGE THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL, SHARP, SMART, AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE WOMENS…I LEARN A LONG TIME AGO THAT IT WAS ALWAYS GOOD TO TALK WITH PEOPLE THATS IN THE KNOW ABOUT THINGS IN LIFE AND OTHER THINGS ITS GOOD…

    12. I agree Rihanna should go on Oprah..not to discuss the incident anymore though, only to be a regular guest.

I agree. I don’t think Oprah listened to to her album either..or at least not G4L lol

    13. hey there!!!!! a shout out by oprah speaks volume, simply put. oprah takes a great interest in the current headline news across the world. notice how you can hear of somethi g bad happening , case in point the monkey that attacked the lady, she was on oprah and oprah wanted riri to come on her show and riri din’t want to speak at the time. i know it was probably to soon for riri to speak on… that was a very dark path that riri went through and it was very hard for her. thats why i take dv very serious and i will fight for social justice on this net from now on, for the simple reason we have followed riri since day one my family, friends and associates all around the world. you have to admire a young woman with the drive that she has. one of out family members just left our place and we was looking at riris clothes and she was snapping pictures of riris booths in a picture that she loved. they snap her hair styles and we have such a large family that we are as far as alaska and in london . we love the princess because shes beautiful, young, smart, and is setting a good example for young d=girls her age by having a career rather than a house full of childrens at such a young age.and i am usually very nice but when the fellow came on the site talking about c/b i kind of lossed it because i am sharp , educated, well connected and i know the kinds of games that cb and his goons wants to play… forgive me for the essay i am juat full!!!!!

    14. Yeah, y’all know Oprah didn’t listen to the darkness that is “R Rated”! LMAO!! She just wants Rihanna to be successful after her ordeal and was showing support. I still think Oprah would love to have Rihanna on there, just to have something to do with her story, ya know? It would be good for Rihanna to be able to give insight into her work and what inspired the music, and in that way, Oprah will have an excuse to talk a bit about abuse (even if it’s just in a general sense and not too personal).

I am watching a repeat of Oprah from earlier and my mom said Robin Givens mentions Rihanna on the show. I’ll let y’all know….

    15. You don't know what Oprah listens to!!!!

And it made more sense for Rihanna to do 20/20 because it has a broader platform.

I'm sure they already have a date scheduled for Rihanna to appear.

    17. UMM IF OPRAH ONLY WANT HER TO TALK ABOUT THE INCIDENT THEN NO RI DON’T NEED TO GO CUZ SHE IS TRYING TO PUT THAT PAST HER. BUT IF OPRAH WANNA SUPPORT HER ALBUM AND HAVE HER PERFORM THEN THATS GREAT AND SHE SHOULD DO IT. BUT OPRAH NEEDS TO SIT DOWN IF SHE WANT HER ON THERE TO TALK ABOUT EVERYTHING SHE JUST TOLD DIANE SAWYER. AND RIHANNA ALREADY SAID SHE NOT THE TYPE TO WANT PPL TO FEEL SORRY FOR HER.
