don't know what the concept is about. I've been lucky. Everyone, including haters
are tellingf me its incredible. But, when a realible person I trust said it was better
than bad romance, I was floored. This is not a big riri fan. She likes gaga, so I was
speechless. Twice I had to fight the urge to watch it, so yeah , I'm excited.

I just watched the Russian Roulette video on 20/20 for the 1st time…WOW!!! The video was so creative. Rihanna is such an ARTIST! Definitely epic work. "T'es trop SUPER Rihanna!" I cannot wait to buy my copies of Rated R!

I am sorry but there is nothing like Rihanna in the biz right now. She has her own lane. Look, when the going gets tough, the tough kick it up a notch or sink like a stone. Rihanna rose to the occasion that presented itself and that's what artists do.
Rihanna right now is more of a throwback to when pop stars were edgy and dangerous like Madonna (in her "Truth or Dare" days), Janet (Velvet Rope) …..or more recently Christina's "Stripped". The trick is to push the envelope but stay in control and not implode (like Amy Winehouse).
It's exciting to watch Ri grow into her craft.

@61 the album is good. Not half as good as GGGB tho. the worst song on GGGB is just as good as the best song on Rated R.
The only track that i liked on first listen was Rude boy. I wish there was more catchy up beat dance tracks.
But rude boy, fire bomb, wait ur turn, hard, RR and the best songs. Cold case and photographs are good too just could be better in my opinion.
G4L, stupid in love, last song are just trash. straight up frash.

Well, I can already tell that I will like "R Rated" a lot more than GGGB. I like Rihanna's vocals more on this new CD. GGGB had no center to me….it had a lot of catchy songs but no real personality. This CD feels more cohesive and like a real "album". Now, Ri's image during the GGGB era might have been more appealing, but I'm not so sure about that either. I feel like I have a better insight into who she is than I did then.
And I say this without even listening to all the song yet.

ABC edited out the first 30 seconds of the vid, where u see Ri’s scratch marks on the wall. My fav part is the whole first 1:30, so I’m disappointed by that.
