The singer showed off a new tattoo on her right wrist Wednesday, as she chatted with reporters at a UNICEF event.
“It’s tribal,” she said at the charity’s annual Snowflake Lighting Ceremony in New York’s Grand Army Plaza. “It represents strength and love.”
Rihanna also revealed that she got the exotic-looking tat while in New Zealand for a recent tour date.
“It’s their traditional way of tattooing,” she said of the Maori-inspired geometric design. “I always wanted [one].” But even for a tattoo enthusiast like Rihanna, this particular method had one big drawback: “It hurt like hell!”

But like people say…It’s usually the goodlooking ones who don’t really have alot of sense, Ugly people are usually smarter and have better sense than the pretty ones anyways…atleast the Majority of’em do. Oh well, I guess you can’t have both beauty and brains in one person.

I don’t dislike this tattoo. She come from Caribe, where there is a piratical tradition. This tribal tat is more decorative than others, like the one in the ear… Then she is a model, so she knows what she is doing (I hope…)

I dont like this tattoo at all but for you ppl to say she is ruining her body or that she is not classy because she has tattoos, like come on are you serious?? I dont even have a tattoo but that sounds so stupid!
“I think her and Chris Brown have already made it official that they’re gonna stick with eachother forever, Til one or both dies.” I love Riri and Chris but no offence that sounds stupid, lets be truthful Chris is 19 and Rihanna is 20. Its sweet puppy love lol, its not going to last forever especially because of their work field!

@Kapi I agree with you to an extent…I definitely don’t think they’ll be together til one of them dies…that’s a little extreme Cam! But I do think that they have passed the “puppy love” stage, don’t you? Puppy love is usually just attraction based on looks or something else very shallow…I think this is deeper for them…I definitely think it’s real love, but real love doesn’t necessarily mean lasting love…At least I hope it’s real because if it’s not, this shows how immature and brash they are to just get matching tattoos on a whim…But I do think they will last longer because of their work field; they both understand when the other has something to do and they can’t spend as much time together as they want…they also don’t have to worry about supporting each other financially because they’re both filthy rich! lol…and they both have experience dealing with paps…I think that’s why so many celebrities date other celebrities, they can relate to each other…so I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they stay together for awhile…but not ‘forever’ lol

And about the tattoo…it’s so ugly on her! I like what it represents but it is not feminine at all…I don’t mind her other tattoos because they are really delicate and cute, but this one is rather manly…it looks good on Chris…not so much on her…but she works it regardless!
I don’t think she needs to stop getting tattoos; she just needs to make sure that they are classy and not too large…it seems like every tattoo she gets is larger than the last…I hope that trend doesn’t continue….but Chris…he needs to stop…all of those tattoos are really unattractive on him…the first few were ok, but now? No sir lol
